Stageline S cartridge resistance loading

Is it possible to change the 470ohm loading to say 100ohm…..is this something I can do?

with a superline you can but there’s no way to change a stageline loading, not on the unit itself anyway.

You could ask your dealer to change it for you, or quote to have Naim’s service dept. do it. Otherwise I think Darran at Class A will do it.

You could make up some loading RCAs with 130 ohm resistors and use a Y cable.

That way you aren’t modifying the stageline from stock if you want to sell.

Not you but your dealer can. Mine was changed to 100Ω when I had my Stageline S recapped at Class A recently, that way it’s all documented. Sounds fantastic with my AT-OC9ML/II and obviously opens up the ‘S’ to a wide-range of contemporary cartridges. Highly recommended.

An odd one this, since a turntable is not listed in the OP’s profile. Are we having our legs pulled?!

Sorry forgot to update…LP12 1984 black with LVii…..in process of fully updating to reasonable level Karousel, mober, khan, revolution and OC9 cartridge….need to load stageline correctly….may invest in superline sometime…in future…

Oh mate, take it from me, if you have an OC9, the 100Ω Stageline is a no brainer.

Thanks….I will get OC9 currently have a very old OC7…which I like….I always remember the OC9 being more punchy…so looking forward to it…will keep you posted..

And should the 100Ω Stageline not be enough for you, just sex it up with a HC. Job’s a good 'un.

Pretty certain I will be going for an AT-OC9XML next, with my superb 100Ω Stageline S.
