Not only not a 10CC album, but neither a Stewart/Gouldman one. Not one song has been recorded by both together in the same place…
10cc may have not been the greatest band in the world, but their history didn’t deserve ending like this.
I’m sorry to hear that!
Don’t forget Des O’Connor…
Been trying my best to do exactly that … … … thanks for nothing!
A stupid thread.
There is always a somebody who will like or hate some album or other. Who cares……really!
If “you” can do better (or worse) then go ahead, fill yer boots etc.
Not biting…
Phew. Not just me then.
I’ll throw in Around The Sun by R.E.M.
Thanks for your considered contribution.
I think rather good.
@castella
And herein is the problem with a thread like this. One person’s meat. Not commenting specifically about Psalms btw.
I don’t like most prog, stadium rock, symphonic metal (think it’s called that), ambient wallpaper whether jazz or other, etc…for me, pretty much mostly stinkers with zero interest to me. But these are very popular Forum loves…so…
It just turns into a ‘what we each don’t like’ list.
Well, you obviously cared enough about this thread to post in it…
So what’s wrong with a thread where people can declare what they don’t like - no less than a celebratory thread. Furthermore, there are, in reality, productions which are just rubbish and should never have been released (IMHO)
I think some context is always useful. I took "stinker’ to mean an album by a band you like that you find unusually poor, rather than just listing albums by bands you don’t like.
You could be right! People get very upset when their favourite bands, albums etc are being dissed here, so maybe a thread that allows criticism will be useful!
Indeed Richard. The three albums I posted were all rotten albums by artists I normally adore…
Ah…Then I misunderstood the thread title, so thanks Richard
I’ll add a favourite musician of mine since I was 14:
Pharoah Sanders
(with somebody or other called Floating Points)
Promises
Weak and sad for what was to be the last album of one of the greats in my musical pantheon.
This one by the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band must be up,there
That’s what I intended the thread to cover - I really rate Paul Simon but the example I gave (Seven Psalms) is for me a “stinker”.
