Streamer for Nait 50

It’s dCS - bound to be bloody brilliant

I think the dcs Lina deserves a better amp pairing than a Nait 50? :thinking:

Just sayin…

According to the accounts on the forum there is no finer amp than the Nait50 :wink:

@Neilb1906

I like the app

Responsive and not cluttered/as full featured which I prefer.

Note, the Emerson is Roon & Audirvāna ready meaning there are other software choices.

@bongoman

Maybe the simple path design and only 25 watt Nait 50 has a low noise floor that that can take advantage of better DACs.

The Chord mDAVE with ND5XS2 as source is also an interesting listen the N50 doesn’t hold much back with a top source feeding it.
Come on Naim bring out a shoebox streamer to match :grin:

picked up a Primare NP5 streamer for my Nait 50. happy so far. considering adding linear power supply to see if that improves its performance. and still intrigued by eversolo.

What dac are you using with the NP5?

I’m using one with nDac, and ifi X power, sounds excellent.

i am most likely the only person in the world using a nait 50 with a denfrips terminator dac. its phenomenal and sounds great with the 50.

Early days but the Linn Akurate DSM/3 seems to be up to the Nait 50. :grin:

After much deliberation went with Naim - ND5 XS2.

Just added an NDX2, bit on the large size but accomplished… and there’s always the additional power supply upgrade path along with a Chord TT2. I was trying to keep the count down!

That is quite the streamer for a Nait 50!

It is, but if you can stretch the funds the Nait 50 seems to respond well to even better sources… it really is an impressive amp. Yes in the limit you can feel the NAIT 50 run out of runway with subtle HF resolution and air compared to say a 552 or 252 DR which is perhaps hardly surprising, but for me that doesn’t get in the way a… but give it a source that can render layers well, articulate and clear low HF (think bite of strings, and subtle percussive lines, and the sharper vocal registers of a choir, feel of a reverb) , has insightful mids (think balanced voices, tonal colours and complexities, percussive definition), and deep tight and tuneful bass, the integrated appears to respond musically well including across production styles (wall of sound compression to piano recitals) …rendering musical layers for me is really important when you want to listen into the music… what I call the Mandelbrot effect. So in my opinion you need a source than can offer this… and with DACs that usually requires very good mid tier and higher end DACs

I suspect for many the source will be the musical bottle neck before this amp and speakers/headphones.
