Kennebunkport,Maine, this evening… wonderful sunset after the winds had died down from the remnants of Hurricane Ian.
Nice shot Simon.
Thanks Pete, it’s certainly a picturesque part of the world…
Looking towards the southern end Kennebunk Beach from State Route 9 prior to sunset… I think the colours are something to do with the dust in the atmosphere from hurricane Ian… but not entirely sure. Looking forward to tweaking these in Lightroom when back in Blightey.
Nice sun star…. F/22?
Came across these whilst looking for something else.
Taken in mid-December 2020, during one of the breaks from Covid lockdown.
Location is about 15 miles from my home.
That’s a very cool photo!
Thank you Mike! I normally caption it " . . . climbing out of Mars the other day . . "
I think the colors on this are beautiful.
Slightly unconventional on the thread, but the atmosphere at this quayside bar during sunset at Newport R.I. was fun. It appears many of the ‘locals’ were from the boats moored on the quay.

Looks awful. Are you managing to cope?
I’m sure it required multiple drinks with little paper umbrellas to dull the pain of being there…
Your backyard I assume Tony?
At his summer home. His main, larger place is elsewhere.
I spent the summer of 1983 there, when they hosted the America’s Cup. Your photos are bringing back memories.
