Who do yo think will win? In Tom Brady’s years, the Patriots were a (near) automatic pick, but things are different now.
My prediction: Seattle Seahawks will win 20-10. Their defense is just too good, it will expose Drake May’s lack of experience. Sam Darnold will be a Super Bowl champion, yet another demonstration of the New York Jets’ inability to identify and keep talented players even in their own backyard.
I’m hoping Seattle too.
Never been a lover of the Patriots, and I am not enamoured of Josh McDaniels. I like Mays and Darnold, both - I wish both QB’s well. Darnold for the win, I agree. But I’m a longtime Broncos fan and I was pleased when McDaniels left their coaching staff. He’s a weasel.
Seahawks look very well balanced team. A lot made of Patriots easy schedule but if true could mean they’re the fresher of the two teams and serial winners not that long ago.
Should be a cracking game and this season has shown how the game dynamics are changing with all the late comebacks.
Seattle to edge a close one I’d say.
Just happy to have seen hopefully the start of something at Chicago as a long lamenting Bears fan.
My son is a long time Patriots fan and we discussed this yesterday.
He believes they are going to be Champions once again, but I think he’ll be disappointed.
As a Giants fan I wanted to see Darnold drafted by the other New York. I definitely believe he would have done better at the Giants than he did at the Jets🤷🏻♂️
Definitely would like to see him lift the Lombardi tonight.
I know Tom Brady’s Patriots years are long in the past, but any time he or the Patriots are mentioned I think of Nikki Glaser roasting him for losing $30 million in crypto
Last years performance was ridiculous off the charts by the defence, perfection played out. Most disappointing thing was that either the entire defence didn’t get MVP or was it Sweat that had 3.5 sacks or something, they always go QB.
This years Bears are were probably a couple of seasons ahead of what might happen, so this years draft needs to focus on the defence.
We’ve got a cracking young Tight End in Loveland, looks a real prospect but our defence would take 3 quarters to understand the opposition. It was great to see them adapt but the underlying defence is too weak and we had to rely on takeaways (think we led the league in those) to have an edge on the pitch.
Caleb looking the real deal and what an arm, with more consistency from experience he might be one of the best for the next few years.
It’s a real shame that there is so much pressure to have Dome stadiums as it was great in the playoffs to see the elements play their part.
I’ve got a load of colleagues in Seattle area so I’ll be slightly rooting for them, mind you Boston is a cracking city so a ding dong close one would be fun.
I’ll watch till halftime, then bed. I’ve absolutely no interest in SB halftime shows and no great reason to watch the second, beyond hoping Seattle takes it.
