Amazing, isn’t it?
I felt exactly the same as you describe here so eloquently before I purchased a PS Audio Power Regenerator, and I have dedicated lines in a dedicated room. Once I plugged everything into it (sans my amplifier), it was like a true upgrade in amp and source boxes. I rarely say that about anything in this hobby, but there was no denying its immediate benefits. No way is it ever leaving this room unless I upgrade to a unit that can handle more power if/when I need it.
Beautiful system, BTW.
Naim put a biamp out connection on the Supernait to enable it to power more demanding speakers if you don’t want to go for a full pre/power/psu setup. In the case of SCM40s my guess is that they would benefit from more power than the Supernait alone can provide, and you may well find it worthwhile.
In this case Naim recommend putting the 200 on the high frequency connections and the Supernait on the lows, although how you would do this on a 3-way speaker like yours I’m not sure.
Finally, you don’t need the DR version of a 200 in this case, but remember that there are lots of old ones out there that may be in need of a recap.
Ah ok, i read too quickly. It’s to bi amping. So my response was not adequate at all.
I have no idea.
