Switch off during the heat

Fans at Maximum. 31,5 c and rising. System feels ok but this is definitely a new situation…34c outside and got to go outside now…

4 plus hours later and everything not plugged in has raised its temp by 3 degrees. including woodwork around the house. Naim kit switched on has raised by only 1 degree. Internal wall not exposed to direct sunlight are 33.7 to 34.5. No material in the building is above 34.5 (thick walls) but inside of wooden shutters covering windows is a steady 39.6! I haven’t bothered going outside to check external wall/shutter temps.

I switched off yesterday in anticipation of a thunderstorm but one power button is stuck….

Tried the pencil trick but no joy ……

No music for me at the moment

Much cooler than my Luxman which will surely need to be switched off after use. The highest reading of the Luxman recorded with an infrared thermometer.

It’s nice innit. I like it. Just do things a little slower, plant some trees and carry on. Can’t wait to go to Paris again in August.

My NC kit loves the heat; it sounded especially good during the hottest days. Possibly because I hadn’t got the energy and inclination to do anything other than listen to music.

I found that my system sounded best in warm air. Won’t look up the scientific explanation - to warm for that.

@IIIIIIIIIIIII how is it going at your place. Here in Altona … too hot :fire:

I found my system better in the Summer!

One of my favourite albums; saw the tour at Hammersmith Odeon…

I’ve got my tube system running with fans on.

23 watts class A monoblocks driving DBLs and so well I should add. These amps have finally run in. The tone is sublime. Music is so engaging. Lovin it.
