System Pics 2019

As an antidote to all the photos of amazing homes here is a photograph of our dining room before having it replastered. System was LP12, ND5XS, 122X/150 I think or possibly 202/200 can’t remember with Guru QM10 speakers

It’s a cherry plinth! Thanks.
Am using Onkyo TX NR-646 AV amp. Need to look for NACA5 for it.

Hi Cam,
It’s a Reson Domo wall shelf but not with the original top board which my dealer could no longer find. Works great and is very unobtrusive. I suspect they are hard to find nowadays.

Thanks @IanG ,
Not seen that design before, but seems like a smart way to make a TT shelf especially for those of us with plaster or Gib walls!

Google didn’t reveal much - I might have to bust out my DIY skills !

I’ve had them for 4 yrs, previously Linn Isobariks (passive).

T88’s, Immediately vocals and seperation grabbed my attention being able to hear deeper into the mix and they just keep giving me enjoyment.

It was a wrench to part with the Briks, they liked to ‘boogie’, the T88’s are not like that,or not that I’ve found…yet!

I did drive the T88’s with olive 52/250 for a short time but now have 552dr/500,also in process of dr upgrade.

I hasten to add the upgrades occurred because of opportunity, not the failure of the 52/250 to drive them.

Sorry I can’t draw any comparisons with the Focal’s.

My room dimensions 5m x 6m, firing across the 5m

In short I like them and as they say “ in my room with my system and my choice of music (which is a mixed bag) they work for me…But I was fond of my Briks.:wink:

Hope something I’ve said helps, enjoy the journey.

Had a busy 2018 changed DACs from mojo to audio alchemy, had a rack built and moved the RP6 to a shelf, also swaped the exact for a Hana EH, which is something I should have done ages ago. Also had a baby so nothing planned for a wile

Ooh, jodl, I think we need more pictures of your lovely 401 and Aro…

Well, Richard, those two are at hand…

This is my humble system in my quite small living room.
The Unity Nova with Kef LS50 sounds like heaven in here.
Still waiting for the levitating Mag-Lev turntable to arrive.

I have to say that is one gorgeous system. The 707s look rather fetching in black

PS - is that the black oak finish ?

That 401 is stunning, you are very lucky.

Thanks, jodl. Lovely looking 401. Can you tell us a bit about it? Maybe even start a new thread…

A better daylight picture where you can actually see what the kit is! And also a picture of the little mobile system.

My little system. Just got the core last December and all I can say is that its awesome. Just finished ripping about 800 albums and the ease of use makes you want to listen to old albums again.

Very smart. They make black look modern again! Nice.

I sometimes think it is a shame that we use proper racks. Your system looks so good stacked as it is. And yet…

Having said that, if it sounds good as it is why not?
