System Pics 2019

However it entirely fits the style, may I politely suggest to replace the Jack Daniels by a proper bottle of Ardbeg?

amazing space, I have literally all the albums I can see in the photos and as Nigel said, from the WAYLTAWMABI thread we have identical tastes in music too! How do you find the little P3’s? I would have thought maybe not the ideal speaker for your classic rock tastes but I’m not that familiar with them so could be completely wrong!

The P3’s are good with classic rock in the room I have them in. In a larger room maybe not so. Really excellent match with Naim in the right room.

Linton, judging by the many likes of your posting, it seems you have the listening room many of us hanker after, and would have, were it not for ‘other domestic considerations’.

Love what you have done, Sir!

Probably the best music room picture I have seen what a great space to listen to your favourite tunes.

The thing with replacing pretty much my whole system in order to make room for my darling old Well Tempered Amadeus GT is that I’m having to re assess interconnect choices with the analogue setup.
Tough job but I’ll have to see it through…

Running in the 252 + SCDR and using 272 as source. Initial impressions are stronger and tighter bass, wider soundstage (speakers “disappears”) but high notes seems “veiled”. I am sure this will disappear once the units are run-in. Will try other sources (Oppo 205 and SoTM/Qutest) at a later stage.

Hi @DaveS - nobody told me I couldn’t!

After living with them for seven months, I love these speakers, fast, fun, big boogie factor, great imaging, awesome bass for their size. If you’re in the market for a £2.5K loudspeaker they are well worth auditioning.

In this overseas holiday installation, careful attention to cable dressing and appropriate separation of power supplies means that the muso Qb and it’s enabling Apple extreme router don’t in any way diminish the essential performance of the microwave oven or the coffee machine.

It would sound better if the power strip were hanging freely and not touching the wall.

Good point! I will attend to that.

I was actually referring to the speaker cables  Usually, Naim amps are fussy about cables, as the impedance of speaker cables makes a difference to performance.

i would be a fraim with two empty shelves for your muso, at minimum! :star_struck:

Oh - the speaker cables sound great - a good match for both my NAP250 and the Dyns :+1:

Since I last posted here I bought a NDX2 and XPSDR, along with a little reorg of the Fraim to match.

Damn fine system. I just can’t fathom that Naim axed entry lever pre/power stuff. 92/90/FC/CD3.5 was one of the most fun systems ever. With the right speakers, I could live with it forever.

Looks great. Happy listening :hugs:

Sweet, I can visualize a third stack of Fraimlite on the left to match your beautiful Fraim!

For entry-level Naim Audio systems, our FraimLite features the same tripod-style configuration, carefully optimised shelf spacing and high-quality material construction of our reference-quality Fraim.

It retains the cup-and-cone interface system used by its bigger brother too, but omits the dual layer base and ball-bearing decoupled glass shelf. Reference Fraim levels can be incorporated into the same system as FraimLite so that you can upgrade to our top of the range equipment support on a level-by-level basis.

I ordered two of those ebony record storage boxes today. They’re making them up with black bars instead of anodized
