Nice room!

Thanks G- very much enjoying them, even though they still need an awful lot of running in.

They are indeed Nigel. As soon as I heard them, I fell in love with the sound (and the looks aren’t bad either).

One of the best sounds I’ve ever heard was at the Bristol show a couple of years back - the Dynaudio Contour 20s on the end of NDS, 555DR, 252, SCDR, 300DR with full SL loom and Fraim.

I’m a big fan of Dynaudio.

whats the best way of posting a photo on this new forum?

You can drag and drop an image, cut and past an image URL, or use the upload button to upload an image from your computer.

Testing URL copy and paste from Flickr (which didn’t work in last forum)

That’s good to know. Thanks Richard. The old forum did not strip metadata. I have a photo of Seattle to prove it.

Thanks @SpurrierSucks

Been a while since I posted a pic; it just became too much of a pain to do from an iPad.

Acquired an LP12, that had been residing in a mate’s loft for about 20 years, just over a year ago and utterly loving it. It started life with a black ash plinth that was, unsurprisingly, a little shabby having spent all that time in a loft! Did a DIY strip job and liked the bare ash so much, I decided to keep it.

Rest of the system is unchanged: NDS, 2x555, 552, 300, Wilson Benesch Vectors.

Cheers,

Ian

A couple of snaps taken during my vinyl spins today.

My entire system needs to be temporarily packed away and stored out the way very soon, making way for a new flooring installation, plus some other home improvements.
It’s going to be messing, and it’s going to be expensive too, gulp! : /

But making the most of a few good tunes while i can : )

Lovely. I am sorely tempted to rush to the dealer and shout: “shut up and take my money!”

Thanks @Audiiogeek,

Both RP6 & UQ2 have been used as independent sources into the Nait2. RP6 into the Fono2, then feeding the Nait2. Both sounded very good indeed in this set up (LP condition and CD rip dependent)…

I’d say the Nait2 sounded a touch more engaging, exciting and perhaps had the greater toe tapping groove, but ran out of steam when asked for higher SPL.

The UQ2 when used on its own, slightly warmer with a more rounded sound than the N2 and seems to be able to cleanly push the speakers to higher levels. But we are taking subtle differences here, certainly not a night and day contrast - it’s still the Naim sound signature overall.

The Nait2 has just been taken out of the equation (this week actually), as I’d noticed it started to sound a little shouty and had developed volume crackle when being adjusted, so a sure sign a service is due. Temporarily decommissioned as I don’t want to risk any long term damage.

In the long term I don’t see Nait2 as being part of this system though.

Hi Alan, the new Pierce Brothers album, it arrived from Oz the previous day, so I took it as a sign. :grinning:

Excellent, glad everything is up and running again :grinning:

The if the sound from those S40s is half as stunning as the finish looks, you must be chuffed indeed.
