They look fab, I really like the grey finish. I might have to accelerate my plans…
Now there is someone who loves their music!
Great photo!
i was a little unsure about posting the shot because most members that post pics have perfect tidy rooms! I don’t leave my records flat day to day. its just when I’m having a ‘‘night’’ i like to have my play list laid out whilst I’m listening… you can’t really see much Naim gear in the shot…Atc scm7 mk2, plus a Rel Strata3 sub. on the record rack there is an old thrones td160 mk1 with an SME 3009 fitted.
I know this is a System Pic thread but, just for once, it is nice to see the music in the foreground and the System in the background. After all, that is how it should be!
Great selection of music there, too.
cheers! I’m eclectic as you can see
Absolutely beautiful system …
Sruggling a tad with the new system … not sure now whose system I ws impressed with or how to get back there and tag it … oh well, I’ll figure it it out …
Richard, what tape deck is that?
Mykel, I’m not sure whether you’re asking me, or one of the many other Richards on here. However, just in case it was me, the tape decks in my most recent system pic are a Nakamichi ZX-9, an Nakamichi BX-300, and a Sony TC-755 R2R.
Do you fill in any sand in the compartment of the Stand 20. The bag that came with it broke easily.
Does Tom Schneider enjoy a tipple from time to time when he’s working ?
Lindsay, very nice looking system
Thanks Gaz.
Never considered that - but it’s nice furniture. He’ll make one-offs as well. The TV cabinet you can see in one of the shots was by him as a special. In all honesty all the cherry wood furniture, including the Isoblue rack, is not really the right thing for the room as it is now but the cost of replacing it all would be high and I’m not 100% sure what I want.
I’ve used panty hose in the past to put sand in. Seems to be a bit more sturdy than the plastic bags provided.
Richard, do you still buy music tapes or do you buy empty tapes for recording or do you have so many records on tapes that you’ll never have to buy new ones ;-)?
I very rarely buy pre-recorded cassettes these days. I do have lots of stuff recorded on cassette over the years. I do however buy pre-recorded reels when I can find them - rare in the UK, but lots more available in the US. Trouble is the cat is out the bag on many of the better pre-recorded reels and prices have skyrocketed. I have around 150 of them, most all 7 1/2 ips 4 track.
