Guibo, nice setup! Will be interesting to hear your final thoughts on the 52 and 32 comparison…

A very wise woman DrMark.
As with life in general Internet forums are populated by kind and generous people and by A********.
I’m learning to try and ignore the comments of the later it’s just not worth the time.

This is my system before I changed from active SBL with 135s to passive S600 with NAP 500 (via NAP 300).

It sounds as good as it looks.

I like your CD rack - how many discs does it hold?

It holds about 480 to 500. I made it out of Spanish chestnut. I have another, smaller, one that holds about 350, I think. That I made out of the timber from a sofa that I took apart and from some old oak gateposts. Sofas often have unusual wood - never sure what it is - but they take a lot of work removing staples etc., which of course leave lots of small holes. You end up with relatively little wood, having planed and thicknessed it to get rid of the worst damage.

Don’t think I’ve seen a rack qui the the same as that one before. Looks nice, what is it?

A couple of pictures of the old A&E trolley especially for toto (If you look very closely you’ll spot some Nac A5 ) but also for Nigel, DrMark and others who expressed an interest. I’ll dust off my proper camera at some point and take some better photos.
I have to say it’s sounding very, very good indeed.

Though the Musical Fidelity V Series are sounding very nice indeed especially the
V DAC >> V PSU which elevates the humble £30 Google Chromecast to something of a giant killer the cable sockets at the front and back don’t make for very pretty pictures but beggars can’t be choosers in this instance.
