Hi Folks. As I have never posted on System Pics before, I thought I’d share of a couple of photos of my dedicated listening room, after I have now finally got the tonal balance right after a 6 months journey. ATB Peter
Very nice room Peter. I was listening to the Fact 12’s last week on the end of the new Rega Rp10 and Aethos amp. The Aethos is £3k…but still drive the Fact 12’s beautifully…they are on my upgrade list for sure.
Hi Gazza.
Thank you. You weren’t by any chance in Ipswich ? ATB Peter
Really nice room. The stickers on the power cords, smart. I will do the same.
Enjoy
Well…down the road in Trimley actually😉
Beautiful room must sound superb. Out of curiosity I was wondering why you don’t have the NAP500 head unit on the brains side?
Fabulous looking room for such a great system Peter.
Have you thought about isolating the MusicWorks mains block from the hard floor???
Best regards, BF
Hi jsa.
I am aware it breaks with the orthodox brain/ brawn principles, but after over many years having been an owner of active systems and the cable dressing paranoia that went with it, I decided this lay out. It is predictable ie nothing moves and no burndies are touching the floor. My 500 PS is at the bottom and the 500 burndies simply drop vertically down. This lay out also gives the 552 head ample space around it. I also like the look of equally high fraim stacks. I am not hearing any compromised performance due to the closer proximity to the downstairs 555PS, but then I am 60 years old ATB Peter
…’ With a little help from A friend’ ?
I have now tried all sorts under the little tender feet and have come to the conclusion, that no interface simply sounds unrivalled ( I have put you know what under our coffee machine ) ATB Peter
Delightful room and system Peter.
They are such a British thing aren’t they. I believe most of the people in the forum have the radiators near their hifi turned off.
Brilliant! Your reply made me laugh.
I bet the coffee is now much better than before…
Good use of 8p, I say

Blimey @PeterR, what is that power lead feeding your MusicWorks power block, that disappears into the wall?
Nice system, well set up BTW.
Hi NigelB.
I am running a cooker cable+ separate earth cable straight into the IEC plug into the G3. This from a separate breaker box/ earth spur in my garage behind the wall. There was a bit of arm twisting going on with the electrician on the install, but admittedly it does work a treat ATB Peter
Now that is what I call ‘dedicated mains’! Great idea, assuming regs are observed.
Pardon the question but do you have a sparkly bottom for your MusicWorks?
Well Nigel, the regs thing was the problem and I had to promise not to recommend my electrician to any other hifi nurds EVER - he is a good lad and we ended up having a right old larf about the unconventional set up. That’s what life is all about ATB Peter
In the words of Manuel to Basil, ‘I say nothing…’
Sorry nope, no sparkly bottom. Famous last words :” I will not change anything, as my system has never sounded better”. ATB Peter
Fair enough, £300 for a bit of, admittedly sparkly, plastic is absurd, until you hear what it does.
Just saying…
