I think the stands are designed for the Spendors…
It’s the base plate I don’t like, I just think it looks old fashioned. If it were just rectangular? Also, the base has some war wounds from some particularly aggressive vacuum cleaning by my better half…
Nice, could be just what I’m looking for for my SA1s. Any more pics?
Made some progress finally last night, decided to leave out my HiCap for now as I’m still a Fraim Level short! Didn’t quite make it to me before lock down alas.
Sods law that my Hi-Line broke at one end during setup, luckily I have a very kind dealer that lives less than 5 minutes from me, loaner on its way!
Speakers still need doing, will post an update once it’s actually all working.
Should be £900 a pair from Falcon but were selling some as ‘slight seconds’ at £300/pair. They said it was due to wrong powder coat but look perfect to me. They are prefilled (16 kg each), tuned, paired and individually numbered
GBP 900 for a pair of speaker stands ??
Is my understanding correct ?
Looks like they still have the slight seconds for sale
Thanks I’ll have a look
Yep. I wouldn’t have paid that price. But considered next to the cost of some the cables discussed in this forum, the improvement in sound quality for the money represents v good vfm
I could only dream or rather hallucinate of getting my speakers that close to the wall!
Really great job on the cabling! I wish mine looked like that!
Not sure where to post this but I suppose it does qualify as a system pic with our cat and some nice flowers
Cool picture !
Do you get any heat issues from the radiator behind the Left speaker especially as the cable runs up behind it?
Hi, my first post! Sorry if it comes out wrong. My main system is Linn but some months ago I came across a used olive system (cds, nicap, nac82, nap250, sbl) and has since upgraded to sl2, a pair of nap135 ans hicap/snaxo. The hicap dr, sl I had from before. The rack is my own design with green granit shelving resting on sorbothane pads. Regards, Josaa

TBH I am not sure I would know what heat issues would look,or sound, like! What should I look for?
Very pretty kit Josaa. I am sure you have been contemplating Fraim by now.
Well, I looked at Naim fraim but found them quite costly - Also, Naim is a bit like Pokememon - “You gotta catch them all…”…therefore many shelves needed…
I meant heat from the radiator hitting the back of the speaker plus heat on the cable running up the back of the radiator.
