System Pics 2020

The JL Gotham V2 subs are great complement to the Magico. I am very happy that my system achieved true full-range sound now.

I assume you have no immediate neighbours… LOL. Great looking system!

And with what will probably be the last upgrade this year (barring the Morgana interconnects that are still stuck in a UPS warehouse in Auckland a month after clearing customs), the SL2s arrived this weekend.

One of the PXOs had a loose connection to the bass driver cable, but fortunately one of the people who works for me is an audiophile with an electrical engineering degree so he was able to resolder it today).

First impressions : they’re pretty impressive. As noted by many, the bass is not as booming as I’ve become accustomed, but is there all the way down, and I’m finding the music really engaging. Call me a happy boy.

I thought posting some pics of my new Tab10 Sigs along with a new oak diy rack, but that BigIsaac system left me completely speechless. I’m going to leave it for another day…

All system pics are good whether the system is big or small. Post away…

Really amazing system. My local dealer does sell JL subs with Magico a fair bit. And some Magico subs. I love the S7s

Not just a nice collection of componants, but really thoughtfully laid out. I like the tt on top of Fraim better than your wall shelf, so long as it keeps working sonically as well and the Rotties don’t cause footfall issues

Go ahead and post - I like a system where I can actually dream I could own some of the components. Big Issac’s system is amazing, but I could never achieve such a setup!

Thanks Bart. The rotties have their place, and it is not in front of the system, although their tails do tend to knock components on glass a little now and then. For that reason I have little black rubber bumpers on the edges of the glass shelves near the front.

Nice setup Jono and its good to see another pair of SL2s on the system pics.

Very impressive!
What’s the 555 and power supply in the foreground resting on?
Must be a nightmare doing the hoovering :open_mouth:

Harmonix RF-808Z Million Tuning Feet.

Stunning. I’d love to hear it.

Heh. In homage of @hungryhalibut 's photo at post 1077…

Coming up on a week in place, and the SL2s are really growing on me. The sound staging is very strong, and with my eyes closed, and the right volume, it sometimes sounds as if the singer is in the room with me.

It’s winter here, and even with the heat pumps running I’m not going so far as taking them off

Always like a good pair of socks in the photo.

Looks like your sofa might slightly block the RH speaker in the same way that mine does, although you say how good the soundstaging is. Have you found the sofa to be a problem @JonoB? I’m not convinced mine is, although I do sometimes feel the balance is shifted a bit to the left on some tracks.

We never did figure out whose socks they were in HH’s photo. He was being coy.
