Slippers and a glass of something white. How do you like the PMCs? I listened to a set of twenty5.24 earlier this year and was impressed (although less so with their price in NZ)
Falshback!
I have wondered about that, but it’s probably not as much of an issue as the double glazed window behind the left speaker. I’ve had them in place for almost a week, and to be honest the stereo imaging is just about perfectly centre.
It’s a reality of modest audiophilia that we have to put the equipment somewhere, and it’s usually a shared space. I make the best I can of the room, and remember to enjoy the music
Yes I find them very brilliant but the mid driver is incredible. Have a listen if you ever get the chance.
Genesis revisited?
Right up my alley! I am a slipper man also. Wife teases me because I am always in socks and slippers around the house. Enjoying your walnut 25.26’s? The musicality and bass delivery in mine are a treat, they are just broken in now after 150 hours or so.

Great, but… sad lack of duvet…
… over the telly…
Hear hear. Testify. Right on, brother.
Yes, just arrived on Bluray from the UK. I have missed both Steve Hackett bookings I had this year (Cruise to the Edge in late March and in Auckland this month), so this is a great alternative!
cyclists legs then?
Indeed they are!
I’ve got mountain biker’s legs, and there are quite a few holes in them…
That’s a lovely setup. Out of interest, is the lp stand custom made?
Hi,
That is very kind thanks. Yes the unit is custom made. Through a company called Etsy, it is well made. Since the picture I posted I have moved the Napsc power supply to bottom shelf where records are to see if any discernable sound difference. See picture, no different to my ears.
I do wonder if I should introduce some Fraim glass and balls arrangemment for isolation though…
Thanks
Mark
The rack police will have a fit, but I think it looks superb.
Meet the new boss… same as the old boss!
Time to pack up the Quad FM4:
Because look what’s back from its short visit to Salisbury:
The Quad was good (and certainly very elegant), but the NAT01 has so much more presence and depth. If you don’t know already, I am a big fan of the NAT01, which in my opinion, is the best source component ever manufactured by Naim Audio.
