Very nice, the AQ diamond looks the beast and the Chord interconnects…but the magic dust we have in good old England has spread to France…what next i say😬

Thanks Gazza. The dust is not magic but very visible with the flash. I clean once a week but UK has send me more unfortunately

Looks like the legendary Reggie Lucas on guitar.

Very possible. But the face is hidden. It’s from debut 70’s. Pete Cosey was also playing at that time.

Yes that is true and at the time of Dark Magus your countryman Dominique Gaumont. What makes me think it is Reggie is that Pete Cosey mostly played sitting down. But a great picture and a classic Miles era.

Good Evening All,

Assisted by SWMBO and a set of step ladders and an access platform that’s the roof mounted acoustic panels installed.

Regards

Richard

Thanks, the Fraim colour went very well with the other furniture

Yes, I see that.

What is the turntable? It’s not the Townsend and not the Artemis I feel. The one with minus k platform?

It is a Townshend without the trough, which I don’t use with the Aro. The surround is made from pine board screwed, glued and painted black, it sits on three dome capped screw that used to hold a bath panel in place) that locate in the Fraim cups and doesn’t touch the Rock itself but provides a convenient and easily removable way to attach the lid via Linn hinges.

I’m thinking of trying the Decca in my old Rega 300, in which case I will use the trough and paddle.

Well, it’s about to begin. You can see on the wall to the left that I’ve removed the sound dampening foam already. The one to the right will be “boxed in” as will the new one in time on the left wall. I’m gonna paint the walls, put in a new floor, replace the curtains and in March there will be a new couch. The room has to be ready by then. Downside to this is that i will have to remove the hifi set. So no fine tunes for me for a while coming from the XS3 / Special 40’s combination. I don’t want any risk of paint splatters and it has to be removed for the floor anyway. So i will drink my last cup of coffee listening to some Queensryche and then get on with it…

First glance I thought the black wall panel behind the telly was the telly!

Haha i hear this all the time  I did put it there for the sound (reverb) but when watching television the black backround made the image from the tv pop out in a way that was very pleasing to us.
