New system rack. Empty shelf screaming out for that Naim streamer. Or maybe new speakers first.
Iāve got the same āproblemā a 555PS home at the ready in my case!
Iāve had a pair of Iotas in my kitchen, powered by a Uniti Qute, for a good while now, and theyāre bonkers good for the size. Interestingly they sit atop a wooden dresser, without any isolation, as everything I tried to isolate it with made them sound worse!
only the second thread Iāve posted on the new generation of forum.
CDS/PS, 72/Hicap, 250. Allaes (just refurbished). Testing Melco D100 into my Dac-V1 to replace my apple MacBook Pro as a streamer/store. Rega radio is not in commission at the moment, I need a cable to connect to my roof mounted aerial.
Great system
nice one, I think I might have put it on the top shelf though, aesthetically speaking, ie, swop the units around
And so it begins!
Nicely done, just let my Isoblue rack go recently, they do look nice.
Good call ! It will save me bending a bit! Job for today thenā¦
Found a Headline at decent price, so thatās late night listening sorted again. Previously used my Yamaha amps headphone socket which got traded in for Naim amps recently
You could put the ND on the bottom shelf and SN on the 3rd to put some air between them too, having some space between the PSUās never hurt, no harm having a try as they say.
You need to update your profile CautiousLip
Lovely system with the Revox reel to reel. Enjoy!
Claude
Ah, yes - thanks for the nudge
Looks better for the space in the middle and the amp on the third shelf- Iāll have a listen later
No harm trying these things out, the isoblue shelves are a solid base as well, nice mod with the glass shelves and balls too, never did that with mine when I had it.
Worse case youāve got a home for a HiCap when you get round to it
Recently rejigged 2nd and most used system non Naim. Hoping new speakers bring the Naim one back to life as to me this one walks all over it for a lot less than the Atom on its own. It shouldnāt but it does.
@Camphuw (per other thread) - flagged as @anon91915252 's Kallax is a good example of formatting/your options with Kallax (including castors).
Personally, if you store LPs on the lower shelves (say ~250 capacity), then I wouldnāt worry about putting the balance (~150?) on the upper shelves. IME, the dowels are quite strong and can be glued and/or the shelf joints glued for extra strength. Of course, 2 x 4 spaced-units is better.
Sorry, just seen this. Love your setup. If you donāt mind me asking, what is the cabinet? It looks great. Mark
Thanks Mark,
I bought it about 12 years ago, I believe it was an Alphason Design product.
I donāt believe they make this one anymore.
Apologies I canāt remember the model type, but best of luck searching and thanks again for your compliments.
Cheers,
Ian
Brill - thanks Ian
