I wish money hadn’t been involved!
Wasps are my biggest problem Gazza. I didn’t think they would eat teak!
My three year old granddaughter is enjoying it. I now know all the words to “Shout out to my Ex”!
Looks great Dunc, but with that much money invested, surely the glass cabinet should be covered or moved to prevent first reflections?
Yes probably, loads i could do to the room if it was just for hifi only and I lived on my own lol.
Only just got the fraim pasted, as that’s been a challenge over the years, as for other room improvements then thats it
Newly arrived in the Naim universe with great joy!

Not as impressive as some of the lovely systems on this thread. The lower end Naim stuff but I’m really content now with the sound I’m getting.
The P8 is settling in great.
What’s the tuner?
Cheapo Sansui T5…sounds grand.
A name to remember for sure. I also has a Rotel from the early 1980s which still goes strong. My much loved NAT01 is about to leave for Hong Kong of all places. Evidently they’re in demand in SE Asia!
Love the looks of those old analog tuners.
Spikes on The ndx2?!
Is there a noticeable gain on SQ?
Nice “tower” ( read system).
Sansui made great tuners. My TU-217 survived many upgrades. Actually still have it, despite no use for it atm, not letting it go.
No just through the Naim app. May give Roon a try as I’m not keen on the functionality of Tidal through Naim app.
Great set up and room. Out of interest, did you prefer the 282 over the 252, more of the SN2 signature but better?
They are Quadraspire Q plus reference pads. I’d bought them sometime ago to go under a Nova on my tv stand.
I’ve found they provide brilliant isolation so have now purchased two more so I have three each under the NDX2 and 282. They make a considerable difference to the SQ in my experience. At the price they should!
I only demoed the 282 in order to kerb my enthusiasm/expenditure. I thought it much better with the 300DR than the 250DR which was to be expected but did upgrade from a HiCap to a Supercap.
For me it’s the power and refinement of the 300DR which impresses. It is an outstanding power amp.
I’ll probably demo the 252 next year as I seem to have fallen into an annual upgrade habit. The upgrade bug seems to bite in the middle of the year.
At the moment I’m very happy with the sound which, typically of Naim, improves by the day.
I was listening to Pink Floyd’s Echos yesterday and it sounded amazing.
As you move up the ladder you seem, to my mind anyway, to be buying more emotion.
Thanks for the info, sir.
Yesterday, in a glimpse, I saw a ndx2 floating.
“As you move up the ladder you seem, to my mind anyway, to be buying more emotion.“
Agreed.

I spent most of the day completely re-working my entire system to integrate my Supernait 3 and Volti Rivals into my 5.4.4 home theater system. The NDX 2 and Supernait 3 are a couple weeks old and have been run in for probably close to 400 hours at this point (always on playing music). I’ve also spent the past 3 days working a Transparent cable loom back into the system, including a Transparent DIN and Super speaker cables.
The Super cables are quite thick and unwieldy so I used some homemade cable risers to help route them around and under the media console rather than twist and tangle them up in a bind behind the cabinet.
All is sounding great right now - I do have the notorious faint ground hum in my speakers when using the AV input on the Supernait. My Anthem AVM 60 does not have a ground, so I’ll have to deal with that eventually but it’s not audible when content is playing.
