Legendary ls 3/5a!
Just over sixty years ago, before stereo, before audiophiles, before Naim, this was my first system. Built the console in 8th grade woodshop. Played 78, 45, 33 and 16 rpm disks. The 45’s had a 2 inch hole in them. My dad secured the turntable, and fm tuner. Humble beginnings of what was to follow.
Nicely made.
A friend asked me to recommend someone to service a very similar looking music centre that her father had made MANY moons ago. Valve powered in glorious mono.

That looks really lovely.
It’s getting near the time we should have “system pics 2021”, as the fish man always likes to start it early👍
Not even close yet. Patience - learn you must!
Decorating of rooms must also happen…
Fish man claims his done with it, too much chatter for him apparently.
Nah, that teddy’ll get picked up and put back in the pram!
What a classy room. And what a good idea for a thread. The room seen from the volume knob.
Yes I have always liked Haim’s room.
Some of them are already from the knob’s viewpoint
I’ll assume you’re talking about me then
Not at all!
Before and after shots.
NB. Ania cartridge in place for now ,while the Apheta3 is back to Rega for re-build,I managed to knock it and bend stylus after just 1 day !
Knobs 2021, here we come…
