System Pics 2020

Spendor is 70 cm away from the back wall and one meter from the side wall. On the Spendor site, they advise about 35 cm from the back wall.

Also, they work great in that position.

Thanks NemanjašŸ‘

I am assuming you run the Nova as a pre-amp into the Exposure? On paper the Exposure is a more powerful amplifier than that of the Nova - do you find this in practise? I have heard the integrated version of the Exposure so your experience of the two will enable me to put them into context.

Thatā€™s right. At the supplier, I listened to nap 250 and exposure with Nova and concluded that the other was better. Exposure as a power amp controls Spendor far better than the nova.

ā€¦a constant worry replacing the Apheta-3 stylus guardā€¦god knows how anyone with a tremor would manageā€¦also still not happy that the P10 lid adequately protects the Apheta cartridge even with the stylus guard, I would prefer a much more childproof option if anyone has come up with oneā€¦

I use this more traditional cover for my P8. Cover It from Pro-Ject.

Yes you would think that they couldā€™ve ā€œturnedā€ down the front of the lid, over the cartridge,at least the it would remove the necessity of fitting the stylus guard completely, however itā€™s the price weā€™re paying for listening to such a great sounding turntable.

That looks brill . Super cap for hi cap . Is it worth the upgrade folks ?

I have an 82, 250DR and changed from HiCapDR to SupercapDR, it is a good upgrade. More control, more oomph ( sorry not the best description!).
I did this before changing speakers to B&W 804D3s, I am interested in what you are looking to gain from your new speakers?

Sometimes I find them harsh when I crank it up . I have demo the sopra and I think they sound more refined sound .also I have got a good deal to upgrade/ trade in

Thanks, not an issue that I am likely to encounter, as I have to keep volume reasonable for my downstairs neighbours!
Hope you enjoy the Sopraā€™s, and do give a Supercap a listen at some stage.
