It’s simple enough to try
You might absorb sound behind the speaker and clean up the sound a bit more.
Once you hear a difference you might want to look at better looking solutions.
Try it…doesn’t cost anything @Gigantor

Newly added Rega P8. Rather small room for now but works much better than one could imagine. The Harbeth SHL5 Plus I’m sure benefit from lots of space but they are killers in near field monitor like listening too
Crap re-distribution surely
Where did you get the naim level?
Slamdam,
I totally agree, the SHL5s can do both. Actually, because of their BBC monitor DNA they may sound even better listened to nearfield.
You have a very good system. I’d really like to hear the new P8 with SN3 and the Harbeths.

Sheep dogs work better!

Hi Keith,
Yes I have moved from Ittok to Ekos SE sits on Kore but powered by Radikal and Urika. Eventually they are an active system with 2 X 250DRs, above them is a SCDR powering the pre.
Cheers,
Nasa.
Interesting stuff ! A mix of Audio Research ( the grey big amp?), DCS, Naim.
You have the DCS bartok and Pucini . You need both?
Tried to dispense with the Townshend Seismic Isolation Podium on my SHL5 earlier but hell no. Too bright and lean. Added back now and sweetness returned and no loss of pace. Love my system.
That is some system. Must sound sublime.
Just spotted the Audiolab. Must be in the rack as a benchmark reference to quality aspirations ?
Are, 2 x 250. That explains it. And the LP12 is pretty much maxed out, as well as looking very nice. I have decided to stick at (approximately) Akurate level with Ittok, Lingo 4 and Rega Aria. The Aria replaced a Stageline and the Lingo 4 is so good it stopped the upgrade itch, for now at least, although I was tempted by the Radikal and Urika in one box it’s nice to see that the LP12 still looks so pretty with the tell tale signs of the Ittok.
I find this a very inviting room - what is that “window” on the speaker wall? Does it go to the outside? (I ask because it almost appears to be an internal window in the photo.)
That’s 8000T from 80s…Hong Kong ditched DAB and kept analogue FM. Hallelujah so I am keeping this tuner
Hi @anon35986639, if you mean the glass that the RP10 and NAT01 sit on then it’s just from my local glazier cut to Naim Fraim specs.
Dave,
I believe Andrea was referring to the small lucite? level with the Naim logo to the right of your turntable.
Ah sorry. Yes that’s one that comes with the Statement amps. Jason very kindly gave it to me when he set up my SL2s and he used it for that job.
It is amazing how many high end systems still retain the NAT 02
