System Pics 2020

That just has to be the coolest workshop system I’ve ever seen. Please tell us, what are the speakers?

Looks lovely, enjoy the music.

As year end is approaching I have finally put together my home office system. One of my daughters moved out so I took her old room. The TV is not used. All olive exept the Superline. Do not ask me about cable dressing…

Ooh, Olive loveliness and it looks wonderful!! Cable dressing makes a difference but…

Looks like a fantastic system and it sounds better even than how it looks!

Well done @Josaa. Lovely LP12.

Don’t worry about it only being a 5si , most of us started with Naits , mine was a Nait 3, added a Flatcap then a power amp

Ah the Road To Perdition

Lovely little system mate. Great SQ…no huge outlay…flexible…and no cable dressing to worry about

The full klimax system on your profile is your second or main system ?

Nowt wrong with the 5i it’s a good little amp and if you live in house like me with thin walls more than adequate in power terms

Thanks Klyde!

They are Audience The One speakers with a full-range driver, plus a passive radiator on the back. They are very neutral for their size, and are amazingly musical. Plus they’ll surprise you with how much volume they can handle without working up a sweat. Great synergy with Naim to boot! Google for the TAS review by Steven Stone if interested.

Yes, TGR. The instructions to service Storm IIIs are available on the ol’ interweb. Servicing includes changing the values and up-rating two resistors, which fixes the overheating issue.

Indeed they are fairly simple with ~150 components on the Storm III plate amp & input/filtering boards. But like the “simple” early Naim components, they sound fantastic.

I run two of them in my main 252/250DR system and have no plans to replace them.

Cracking system. Very fond memories of my SL2s.

Ok, I know I am crazy and fortunate. I have 4 systems: the “mother ship” Linn aktiv Klimax Komri with Stiletto LP12 etc…; the Summer house system with Linn/Naim/Harbeth system, my office system (full Naim) and my hobby vintage system (Altec, Shindo, Thorens). They all sound great - both analytically and emotionally - but also very different. I enjoy them all

Shindo, very nice! It’s a Morbrison pre? Opened cage?

Monbrisson with output transformers and a Montrachet, with Auditorium 23 cables…bought used so I checked all the tubes and cleaned the internals…
