Well, it’s looking great so far…
How it is now.Recently purchased Mcintosh MR71,on wall shelf, and Synthesis Roma 510AC tube integrated push pull amp on top rack.
Just to give tubes a try.
Also, no cables around the room…
And how do tubes sound compare with your 282/250?
And a quality TT too!
Hi Chag,
thanks for asking.I expected sooner or later a question like yours, it is not the first time I uploaded some pics of my latest purchasing, the first one being on "What was the last bit of gear"thread, where I described my sensations regarding this amp.If you want you can take a look at my reply there. .First of all my Naim combo is 282/200,not 250 sadly.I think an 250 DR will be my next upgrades,as Hungryhalibut suggested to me a couple of months ago.But not now!Anyway I can say that Roma’s sound is a little bit more 3d,voices are warm and very realistic while 282/200 is more powerful and with its fantastic PRAT.But please bear in mind that I haven’t been listening to Naim for two months now, since I connected the Roma.I will need a better comparison in the future to give you a more satisfactory opinion.
Ciao
Thanks Thegreatroberto.Off topic comment:the Omega Seamaster in you avatar looks super!
Ciao Fabio,
what are your speakers?
thanks
David
Hi David,
ProAc Studio 140 MK I,eleven years old.
Wait a moment David, let me mount my 20mm on my Sony, will take a larger view…
Thanks. I actually have 2 seamasters.
This from 2001 which is currently on an Omega Nato.
My newer one is just under 2 years old.
Love both. The avatar one doesn’t keep great time! Despite having it serviced and sending it back. Twice for regulation!
Ok,time for my favourite IPA now…
I hope the Bokeh of the IPA is as good as the Minolta.
Hi Ardbeg10y,
that’s a very nice word pun!
It did, indeed…
Thanks!!
I’m currently using Chord Signature Tuned Aray BNC - BNC digital cable. I’m quite happy with it.
But, surely keeping good time is the only thing a watch is designed to do!
That and look good!
I’m reminded of the quote, I think from the CEO of Rolex when asked how the watch business was going. They replied “I’m not in the watch business. I’m in the luxury goods industry.”
