Brilliant.

I really like Peter Saville’s artwork as well.

Randomly stumbled across him in a Berlin restaurant a few years ago…

I once interviewed him in his Mayfair penthouse – it resembled a 1970s bachelor pad…

For some reason that doesn’t surprise me. Think I might dig out 24 Hr Party People later…

Not yet - it remains unhooked!

Ah… I did wonder that.

Voila, I could complete today.

This is part of a bigger plan that started having a professional coming over for room-measurements. Got very good a n detailed advice and made a plan together with expert. My room luckily was not to bad but still room for improvement. I decided to work with a combination of the new wooden panels, together with BassTraps and Diffusors from ArtNovion (still to be delivered). Behind the wooden panels there is 1/3rd additional absorbtion (see pic)

System warming up so a little difficult to judge sound difference

Nicely done Iver.

Can you show a close up of the wall? Is it wood strips overlaying the green foam (?) in the “during” picture? Or is there some other substance over those green panels? I assume this is the dissipate all reflective characteristics?

A very intriguing upgrade project.

It’s the Olympica Nova III @Neilb1906 … they sound georgious; rather “silky”

That’s an awesome chandelier you have.
Nice reVox as well. reminds me I will have to have mine fixed one day…
MArco :cowboy_hat_face:

The Wooden panels are from WoodUpp (google and you’ll find @DrMark ) : the panels are a combination of wood (in my case Oak) and the black absortion material. In fact they are acoustic panels (I just strenghtened that effect with additional, absorbtion behind it). The panels are 240cm x 60cm

Never Heard Sonus Faber speakers but if they sound good as they look, they should be great.

I was wondering about the sound treatment. Is it to isolate you from your neighbours, to improve the acoustics of your room or both?

Hi @michelw my closest neighbour is half a mile away, so that wasn’t the problem  I just wanted to get the best out of my current set. After upgraded cabling, Fraim, dedicated spur, Furutech blocks, PSU in switches and network etc etc etc, there was only the step of room treatment left. Since I struggle to understand all the tech details, I asked a top expert to do measurements and advice: took half a day. Very nice recommendation-document that took into account me personal wishes, and that finally lead to this. As said above, I still await bass traps and diffusors for the wall behind my listening postion. They should be there in a few weeks.
Cheers
