Conscious that we are digressing here but I have seen the cast discuss this revival ( without John Mahoney and, presumably, Eddie of course).
Wasn’t all this stuff in an office before?
Good thing she didn’t get the Dead artwork!
How big is that room? Looks quite spacious.
I take charge of that job - but, tbh, it’s a winter-only routine.
I have never seen a Bartok in black. Nice blend!
Thank you Graeme, yes It is my haven where I just drift into another world. 2 channel music is just sublime and the theatre quite often feels like a live gig. I’ve dreamed about this room for most of my adult life, and now I just spend so much time in here, enjoying music, concerts and film. Thanks again for your kind words, Mario.
How’s the Chord amp?
I see you have a Cambridge 851n. How do you find it in use?
I realized that you “measured” the room before the treatment,
Because in the final picture it seems that the whole space is treated …
I am also in the process with the products of the company you mentioned, but only in-
First reflection points on front, side, rear walls, and ceiling.
I would love to hear about your experience with this company’s products, later.
Where are the socks ?!
Hi Iver,
I really like the resulting design of your walls! It also reminds me a bit of the “Focal powered by Naim” stores…
As I am also based in Belgium and looking into SWMBO-approved sound-treatment options for my living room, would you mind sharing the details of the expert you worked with? Is it a specialist linked with ArtNovion or someone independent?
Cheers!
Hi @sihctr , the expert is independent but is also a distributor of ArtNovion. You find his name on his website on Very Fine Solutions dot EU. He is from Antwerp region
Actually, I am very pleased with it.
I use it as a streamer and a DAC. At the moment, I have Spotify Premium ((no Tidal, Qobuz et Al), but would upgrade to Spotify “hifi” when available.
As we live in a town house, and the router is on the front of the first floor, and my listening room is a the rear of the ground floor, I installed a cheap Wi-Fi extender outside the listening room, and have no problems with signal/sound break up. I use Spotify Connect which works very well with the Azur 851n.
Generally, I find Spotify pretty good via the Azur. No, it is not as good as my Linn/Graham Tricker phono stage, but to be fair, even with the Chord Epic cables I am using 'twixt it and the 52, it only cost the same as the phone stage on its own.
It also has balanced outputs, which may come in handy as an interim measure, using it as a pre-amp should I scratch an active itch with some ATC speakers in the future, before reverting to using the 52 once suitable cabling is in place.
Using it as dac means I can swap between my Sony CD player and Sony DVD player for playing CDs, although I have had to use my final spare input on the 52 to listen to my one SACD.
If there is anything more specific I can help you with, please ask. I suspect I am not using it to its fullest extent, but it does what I wanted, and has provided me with an easy to install, reliable and relatively inexpensive way of streaming music.
I also bought the Bluetooth dongle at the same time, and use this for streaming Radio Paradise.
Hope this help. Best, Al
Wow, I never thought I’d see something look as good as @RackKit 's system, and you’ve done it. Nice LP12 btw, you’ve achieved your goal from the start of System Pics.
No problem, would not say it if not totally deserved.
Like the Bird-watching Graeme All looks lovely Best Peter
