Looking really nice, though you should sort out those wibbly wobbly pieces of wood on the walls.

I think I might look a little wibbly wobbly after 500 years of serviceā€¦

I would love to be a bit wibbly wobbly sfter 500 yearsšŸ‘

If you look closely at how the feet on the speakers and Fraim are adjusted it gives you a clue how uneven the floor is. This is a suspended upstairs floor. I have had to use the max and min adjustments on each speaker and Fraim feet/spikes and they are still not exactly level.

At least the four walls in this room are very solid, and the irregularities in the walls, ceiling and floor introduces some diffusion, reducing room modes a tad, which is good as the room is fairly square. Sounding great in here though.

Hmmn i see what you meanā€¦you must be very patient.

500 years? Goodnessā€¦you need a new house!

It is true - they definitely donā€™t make them like they used to. Last year I was in my yard and looked at my house for a minute or two; it was built in 1997, and I cannot imagine it will still be standing in 50 years, let alone 500. They build these homes like crap.

Thatā€™sā€¦ Gold.

I used to live in a flat in North London. The original house was built in 1900, with an extension built in 1990. When I had subsidence in 2006 the original house was fine, my master bedroom and bathroom in the extension had floor to ceiling cracks.

Nigel I see you have monitor audio speakers I always thought they were a no no with naim because of the metallic cones

500 years is much older than our countries existence!

That reminds me of a visit we made to one of the Disney places in the USA a good few years ago. A guide was telling us of the tradition they had of decorating one of the exhibit/rides/shows for Christmas. I asked how long they had had the tradition . This is our 3rd year was the reply

ā€¦ maybe the empty shelve in your awesome system and rack would be happy to host a 555 ?

The older MA tweeters used to be a bit on the hard side, but the Gold range have ribbon tweeters which are very smooth and refined.

The metal cones are also wonderfully smooth, and sound nothing like they lookā€¦if you know what I mean.

Canā€™t be helped. Iā€™m in the same boat and our flat isnā€™t even 3 years old. Max spike extrusion in one corner and min extrusion on the other and like you, it approximates level only. Building is just cheap crud.

But those MAs look great in that room and yet another thumbs up for black Fraim.

Right now I have no choice. Anyway, I donā€™t totally follow Naimā€™s philosophy regarding some things.
Thank you.

Another 555PSU for CD555 or a ND555/555PSU?

Canā€™t beat M&S for quality and value! Of course mensā€™ slippers are available from other outletsā€¦

Pardon the quality of the photo as itā€™s taken by a phone. Iā€™ve reinstated the Harbeth speakers in the main system and currently working with the placement to obtain the optimal performance from both Marten and Harbeth.

Sofa on the right had been removed as a more comfortable model will fill the space soon.
