I wonder if putting the S1 in the middle, between the two racks, would not be nicer?
But of course all looks already great.
That would look like an obscene gesture.
Although the taproom is closed for drinking, they are doing a monthly delivery round where you can buy cases of beer. If you live near Sydenham then they will deliver for free. In the true spirit of the enterprise it runs as an ‘honesty’ system - they deliver the beer and you pay for it afterwards! You can also buy 4 pint takeaways at weekends. All details are on Ignition Brewery website. Supporting a good cause has never tasted so nice!
Vous avez l’esprit mal placé mon cher
They could also offer a top loading cd mechanism option for the streamer block, DAC inputs and even a phono module option - it would be a true source block without the requirement of more traditional Fraim mounted source equipment comprising the aesthetic.
I run 2x555PS on my old, broken () NDS.
From the minute it was installed at the initial dem, I knew it was a keeper. I considered downsizing a while back and as an experiment, went back to the single PS. Even though you tend to get used to a ‘new’ sound, I missed so much of what the 2nd 555 did that it went back in and all ideas of downsizing were shelved! It adds, air, space, clarity, clout and an extra dose of realism; I would imagine the effect on the ND555 would be broadly similar.

Great record there and a system to match.
That looks very nice, neat and tidy. Wonderful
Very nice! (PS Thanks for earlier info RE WB, it has worked out well).
Wow! Resolution with Torus; I bet that sounds good - glad it worked out well!
Cheers,
Ian
P.S. How about a photo? Would love to see how your system looks.
That Palmer is a marvel
You have a wonderful new set up HH. Compared to your good self and many others on our forum, I am a novice. Please may I ask, does your SN3 require a power supply to get the best out of it? Can it use the 555DR? I used to have a SN1 with a HiCap DR, great sound. I’m looking ro reduce my box count.
Many thanks
Awesome. How do the LS5/9s get along with the subs?
Thanks for feedback, I look forward to the demo!!
