We are having the living room decorated and some new carpet fitted, so although it’s a right pain having to dismantle everything I’m taking the positive from it and will take the opportunity for a good clean down and rebuild.
Only problem is that it’s not looking like the carpet will be fitted for a couple of weeks
I am somewhat terrified by the thought that at some point I will have to take my system apart and then put it back together again. My good lady is starting to request a new carpet in the music room and whilst it probably is required I am currently being resistant for this reason!
Luckily @GadgetMan@DrDavid i only have a four box system and I have undertaken some fairly extensive cable labelling to hopefully make sure I am able to put it all back together again!
But it is an exercise that I have for sure not been looking forward to as speaker positioning/levelling and cable dressing are things that were pretty stable but will take some time to get right again when it goes back together…
I made sure we bought a better carpet this time though so it will hopefully last a bit longer before I have to do this all again!
My pretty modest system. P6 on Analogue duty and a Bluesound Node on Digitial. NAC202 and NAP155xs. There are some Image Troubadours (NZ made floor speakers) around somewhere too. The P6 is new replacing my old Linn Basik….
Node is pretty good actually it’s the newer 2i version. I only really use it for music in the background while I work and such. It’s really just a transport for Tidal as Quobuz isn’t available here yet… The P6 sounds great though, though I do need to find a better phono pre.
