Looks great, arenāt the ndx2 and n272 dacs the same? I thought it was other features that give the improvement?
Thank you. It might be but it sounds better to my ears, however I did upgrade to a 252/SCDR at the same time so itās hard to tell which box is doing what.
I can confirm that Iām extremely happy with my combo. I could of course swap the XPS DR for a PS555 but Iāve spent way more than I ever thought I would.
Great, Iām about to audition similar to you to upgrade my 272, though Iām concerned how Iād feel if I did the upgrade and then Naim launched an replacement for the 272 plus donāt really want any more boxes in my small room.
Ignore all the hi fi threads cancel your hi fi mags subscriptions and just listen to music.
Cor these DBLās look awesome, really really nice!
Just noticed the Naim logo on the back wall - nice touch X)
DAC chip is the same indeed but just a small part of the overall performance of a DAC.
Gawd count me in for that too.
(System looks fab btw.)
Thanks Iām very content, I think it sounds fantastic.
FWIW, I think that last pic looks better.
Thanks for your comment. Wish to hear more from others.
Prefer this one!
I think the lower stacks look quite a bit better - super system !
Another vote for the lower version.
+1 for lower, and even putting the Kronos ps next to the tt, not under, if possibleā¦.
Low and wide, looks less clutteredā¦
Lower stacks are more stable and to me they look better if you have the space. It looks to me like you need at least 11 shelves, so with two stacks you would really be pushing the limits, especially with the turntable on one of them.
The only issue with low racks is that cables tend to touch the floor. They should ideally hang free, hard to see from your pics but possibly room for some tweaking here??
@kend ā thatās a rather nice media unit? May I ask where you got it from, and/or the make?
Cheers!
