System Pics 2021

So you use only the Devialet as an integrated amp? How does the Devialet streamer compares to Ndx2?

Great album to be playing!

@james_n I like the lamp, it almost looks like a mu-so perched up there !

Those Chorus speakers look a lot like the Forte III’s I auditioned a year or so ago.
Amazing speakers, very direct.

Yes, back in 1989 when I bought the Chorus, the Klipsch lineup from the top down was Klipschorn, La Scala, Belle Klipsch, Chorus, Cornwall II, Forte, kg2, kg4, and Heresy II. They all had had a similar look and shared many drivers. The Chorus were 7" taller than the Forte, were considerably heavier (100 lbs each), and had 101 db sensitivity vs. 96 db for the Forte. They are amazing speakers.

That album makes any system sound good!

Hi FR - Yes just a S/PDIF source at the moment. I’ve not really had a good chance to play yet, but initial impressions are very positive. Setup was really easy, the display is very nice and it’s good to see a green logo glowing in the corner again.
Laura Marling’s Lockdown Sessions via Roon is sounding rather fine.

A few issues after a house move with my 552 but now sounding on song…
Not too many changes from last year - DR’d 552, sorted spacing on fraim and a dedicated spur.

That looks a nice size room: I wish mine was a little larger. 12’by 10’ is not really big enough but your room’s long axis looks to be about 16-18ft?

Room is 13 x 17 feet but has a couple of insteps so not perfect per se. Always a compromise!

Probably should have had a cooler record in that picture - willow the wisp isn’t my usual listening genre! :astonished:

Nice dedicated listening room. :sunglasses::+1:t5:

Not to worry, we are all appropriately embarrassed for you! :joy:

I like your room a lot.

Great room, I wonder how many of us have the fab 4/Abbey Rd photo on the wall in the music rooms/area.

The LP12 back home from a tune up and Karousel installation. Sounding fantastic and a major upgrade for a very reasonable amount of money (in Linn terms …): More silent backgrounds, overall better focus and separation (e.g. easier to tell bass lines from drums and/or synths), more dynamic, clearer top end etc. Really an across the board improvement with no negatives - all, I suspect, due to less noise from the bearing which simply allows more information to come through clearly. Krystal replacement is next (3 years old, so probably a year or so left), but for now still making sweet music!

Lovely room and system!

It’ll provide years of delight. I should always gone for a black one!

Well, I went with the black one as it was the ‘safe’ choice (at one point it was supposed to be located just above some bookcases in cherry) but I’ve actually always lusted for the walnut one. Might change the plinth at some point - but for now will just enjoy the Karousel induced sweet sounds flowing from the speakers :grinning:
