System Pics 2021

The RB3000 is a work of art. Just fitted one to my TT. And yes, it rings the very last from my TT and cartridge.

It’s as if Rega go with red for 33rpm over green on purpose.

Haha. I had a Ron Smith aerial too. They are fantastic. First thing the new owners did was tear it down… among other horrible changes to the proprty that made me sad.

Very cool - which receiver model is it? I can tell it is a higher model than mine because of the 2 meters. This era of audio is sexy looking for sure!

It is a 2275. I’m pretty sure they all had two meters. One for signal strength and one for tuning the center frequency. The higher models had more buttons! It was all about the bling back then.

Mine is the 2220B with just the single centering of the signal meter - only 20 watts into 8 ohms, but I use it in a small room so it is just fine. I need some work done on it because when I use the Loudness button it breaks up a bit on some things. Really fun to listen to for rock.

That should make a nice improvement but I would also place the Hi-Cap on the XPS on the button side ( if putting it on another Naim box is unavoidable). It contains a very big transformer and you don’t want it on top of the preamp, which contains sensitive electronics.

You can’t beat free upgrades :slightly_smiling_face:

On this moment Hicap is on the top of NAP250, means that the total weight of those two = approx. 22 kilo :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Next time I will move the hicap to top of XPS - if this makes any sens

So, with this system you use the TT2 also as preamp, am I right?
In “Hi G” mode?
How is it compared to 282+2 Hi-caps? Is it ok or are you planning a Dave in the next future, maybe?

I took mine with me when we moved. I had a G20 on the roof previously. Moving house gave me the opportunity to clean and rebuild it with new bolts. It’s now reduced to G17 and turned through 90 degrees for a horizontally polarised signal. It now hangs in the loft owing to planning restrictions but delivers a very strong signal.

I sincerely hope thats from last year

All this talk of fm aerials. You can just see my mighty extension to the left in this pic.

It doesn’t quite reach to the UK but all of France is available.

Lol those are Halloween lights but it’s up to the girls what they want to display in their room I think you need to lighten up, excuse the pun.

It’s superb, probably end game amp for me. I have no drive or desire to upgrade at all

Speakers have only got about 20 hours on them and the NDX2 is days old. Amps are ex demo (light use) and have been warming up for a week (power not tunes).

Burndy cables have been given a shake during install.

Woke up this morning, played some tunes and it’s sound average at best :grimacing:

Running in ups and downs I’m hoping!

Most speakers will take 100 hours or so to run in.
Patience you must have my young padawan.

Early days.

Lovely looking system and rack.

Are the shelves interchangeable? I wonder whether the preamp might benefit from being away from the power supplies etc
