Just a lovely thing to own and use.

Everything in its right place. Started with an original Nait 5. Never imagined I would get own a system like this, very blessed.

That’s one monster-size rack. Makes the NAP500 look like a Chord Qutest! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I know, the Phono Pre is huge too. It was a one time purchase and heavy as hell. The company started out reducing transmitted submarine vibrations. It is the real deal. No real way to AB but It was a huge drop in background noise.

took the words from my mouth. I thought the 52 looked like a miniature toy.

Currently got the Rega Aethos on demo to create a totally analogue main system. If it stays my Uniti Star will move to orangery with new speakers and in turn my MUSO to my bedroom

You’ve got some clever wiring disguise thing going on there; would you care to explain how it’s done please?

Its wide/shallow cable trunking that I the wallpapered to match the walls. Running one trunk either side to keep power cable away from feed to phono.

The dangling wires bothered by OCD , this solution looks far better IMO. Trunking could also be painted.

No brand name on offcuts I still have…

Very clever. Thanks.

Love the look of those speakers, neat set up.

Nicely done. A purist might argue that cables should hang free and not touch each other or anything else, but seeing them hanging from a wall shelf is not a good look.

I have been eyeing the Aethos as well. I haven’t arranged a demo yet but the streaming on my Nova as a package is so convenient and elegant that I don’t know how I can arrange a similar solution for Aethos. How is it doing for you so far?

I have a Nova, swapped from an Aethos. The Aethos is a superb amp , very weighty in all areas - literally so.

I moved mine on for non-audio reasons - quite literally it was the right amp in the wrong spot if I ever needed to access the rear the inputs were on the wrong side, coupled with its weight, my cataract- it was an accident waiting to happen .

You may be able to use the Nova as a streamer - or it is closely related to the ND5XS2 and I would get either that or if I could afford it NDX2 .

As an aside, the Nova can be ramped up in performance by adding a Power-line

I think you will be very pleased with the Aethos, it’s a cracking amp - if I could have had it set up like that , I would still have it.

Looking forward to the pictures of the Star in the orangery

Only played a couple of tracks last night after kick boxing and was too tired/aching to relax. Will reserve judgement until I get a proper session in Saturday pm.

Whats stopping me using the Star as a pre-amp for streaming and the Aethos as the power?

Have seen elsewhere online where this same combo has been used. Connecting Star using preamp out, a compromise but a possibility? I know Star doesn’t have line out but would above work?

Since getting the P8, 99% of listening on main system has been using the P8.

I’m no purist :joy:, haven’t a clue what I’m doing really…
