And the speakers…
Finally got a NAIM system (almost) back after selling my 282/200/CD5/Flatcap twelve years ago when kids arrived and I needed funds for a move into our first house.
Very happy with the Arcam ST60 into 282/200. Just need to swap for some black speaker cable and I’ll be set for now….
Nice looking space! Congrats to your new speakers. Spendor D7.2s?
Thank you - yes, I like the solid steel ss-6. By the way, I’ve filled them with a tub of Atarbite in both stands. Bass was tighten.
That’s so refreshing to hear. Always best when you can enjoy the music without thinking about the system
Heretic!
Hi Graham, that’s a very impressive and neat looking system. Looks amazing and I bet it sounds it! Alot of boxes for one source!
I thought before the year ends I would post my first system pic. I am really grateful to forum members and our moderators for providing such a great space for learning about Naim gear and system set up. Thanks everyone for sharing pictures and all the advice.
I also want to say what a great dealer I have here in Winnipeg. I’ve been a customer of Jeff’s at Creative Audio for over 20 years and I can only echo what many others have said: having a dealer whom you trust and can work with over the long haul adds so much to the hi-fi journey.
Thanks, everyone, and especially thank you to the countless musicians without whom life would be unimaginably impoverished.
Hi! Has been ”away” as I have been ”working on” my other systems. I am still very pleased with my Naim/Linn/Harbeth systems that combines rhythm/flow/tone in a nice way. The only upgrade of late is the Radikal 2 (plus new motor) that improves both the performace of the LP12 and the Urika Riaa….I also changed the Pinot Noir for Dry Martini…
That’s a nice rack. Is it actual Hi-Fi furniture?
Three sources actually
I have an optical output from a Sky box and from a Panasonic Blu-Ray player plugged into the back of the ND555.
Which means that even when we’re watching TV not listening to music the system is still being used.
It’s a beast of a system and different from many with full active set up. What made you go down that route rather than S1 pre with 1 x 500DR? Have you done A to B comparisons?
Personally I love all the Naim boxes and think the G3 and G4 look great on Naim Fraim. It looks superb!
Nice setup looks great well done.
Thanks! My own design: finite elemete feet, oak wood structure, steel sub structure, sorbothan rubber, granite (that matches the Olive). I use Stillpoints under all equipment.
I hope that was shaken, not stirred…
Nice system. I have been on the forum for a year now and have also learned a lot from the experiences of other users, especially technical experts like Xante and Simon in Suffolk. Thanks also to Naim and Richard Dane for running the forum.
Well of course! And dirty….
