I agree, the engineering of the P10 is outstanding but is it worth the extra Ā£2K over the P8 in terms of SQ? I would also feel the need to upgrade to the higher spec phono stage so another Ā£800 price difference with the Pono MC.

I had the P8 with Ortofon 2M Black and didnā€™t think a P10 (Apheta-3) would be so much better, but I was very wrong. My dealer told me so when I bought the P8 :slight_smile:

Thatā€™s something only you can judge of course. With your 282/250 Iā€™d certainly be giving it a try. An RP8 and Fono seems a bit light.

I left the NAIM world. I returned to high efficiency with the Klipsch Heresy and I am waiting to receive the Sugden A21. I listened to this couple and immediately fell in love with it.

I bought the Soulution 760 DAC and the Soulution 711 power amp.

Iā€™ll connect the Soulution 760 DAC directly into the 711 power amp.

The Soulution are still in their wooden crates. Iā€™ve been too busy to swap the systems.

Iā€™ll write something when I have them installed.

I have heard that system 3 times already, same speakers, same cables etc., only the environment is different. So no big surprise expected; I know roughly how itā€™ll sound.

Of course, the ā€œburn inā€ period might bring some surprises. But it shouldnā€™t be as long for Naimā€™s gear. As I understand it, it has been burnt in for a few days and then thoroughly tested before being shipped to me.
