My first speakers in 1982! Look fantastic Bandit. I like the tag for pulling the grills off (which everyone should know need to be kept on!).

Enjoy.

Thank you Neil - haha you’re right, pull them once to admire the work inside and keep them on.

Thank you Peter

Nice stands, my wife didn’t approve these for my ATC’s unfortunately!

It may look like a cheap M & S illuminated Christmas decoration that changes colour every few seconds on top of each speaker but, put on Comfortably Numb, use a little imagination (well, perhaps a lot of imagination), turn off the room lights & it’s Floyd at Earls Court in ’94 all over again.

I wanted to recreate the glitterball opening during the second guitar solo with my wife’s make up mirror suspended from the ceiling by a piece of string & illuminated by me shinning a torch at it. This received a firm veto from the aforementioned party (plus a ‘haven’t you got anything better to do? missive), so does require a bit more daydreaming………or rather, imagination.

Thank you Pieto - that’s unfortunately. Which stands have you end up with?

Atacama audio HMS 1.1-600 which are also very nice though! Everybody happy in the end !

It’s the HMS1.1 TS that I wanted - they are designed for speakers that are wider than they are deep. We bought the SolidSteels and didn’t like the look of them in the room at all. Atacama seem to have discontinued the HMS1.1 in both formats now, which is a shame.

Yes I was very fortunate in getting a demo model from my dealer, the last one and the right size!

Approx 6x4m David :+1:

Lovely, are they solid steel stands? Everyone should own a set of LS3’s as a reference imo!

You have managed to get a fair few sets of speakers in recently to demo I guess.
could these be the ones ?

Thanks James👍

The cat, as is their wont, is mightily impressed.

I’m very happy. Very natural, wide and deep sound, just the right portion of bass volume in my room, details and punch. But this hobby is dangerous. You can never finish. However, I have the feeling that loudspeakers will no longer be an issue.
