Hi @jsaudio, I follow some blogs here in Belgium and noticed a professional mentioned quite often. I reach’d out and asked what’s possible. He came with his measurement equipment and spent a full afternoon. A f’w days later I received a full report. Of course he also represents one of the well-known acoustics-firms, and a such his also has some suggested products to purchase, but that was exactly where I was looking for. In what country are you? Why don’t you call one of the acoustic-brands and ask them for people xho can do the measurement for you?
Cheers

That is a very sharp looking stand, especially with that flooring stain - looks great.
Looking forward to those pics when you are done Iver.
Hi @DrMark , I can’t wait … everything is « on order ». Hope to have it here in two weeks. Apart from the looks, I am also thrilled to check sound impact

Have you ever thought of trying your speakers either side of the big screen ?
Dark mode.
Or alien invasion!
Nothing is allowed to get close to the ProAcs aside art work. No TV in the room to compete with the music. It is enough that the reading wife keeps telling me to lower the volume…
No excuses now
I took the plunge and it’s a fabulous turntable.
Just tell her not to talk so loud!
(The above “advice” assumes that you have a comfortable couch for sleeping…)
Oh my god! You have broken your turntable?
Lounge system up and running, after 18 months in boxes, yes there is another speaker.
I’m surprised and impressed how good the Nait XS2 is with the ATC SCM 19’s.
Tim
Hi Tim, is that a Rega Cd / MF Mx-Dac combo? Interested as I have an Apollo CDP in my second system and am considering the MX Dac for it. If so, any views on it, Ken Kessler raves about it recently.
Hi Adam:
From the top we have a Rega P9 with Ortofon Quintet Bronze cartridge, Musical Fidelity MX Vinyl phono stage, Musical Fidelity MX DAC, Lindemann Network streamer/DAC, Bluesound Node 2 which is connected to the MX DAC, Nait XS2 and then the Rega P9 power supply.
Currently deciding whether to keep the Bluesound MX DAC combo or the Lindemann, both are Roon ready. Both sound good but still waiting for my speakers to break in a little more.
Tim
Nice P9 Tim. Rare too see them with a Black plinth. I had a spare plinth in Cherry that I sprayed Black, just never got round to fitting it. Great sounding deck though and always loved it’s simple but sleek looks.
Cheers, Rack.
Pbenny, what do you think is the minimum room size and minimum distance from rear and side walls for ProAc K3- to work at their best?
Thank you!
Hi Nataraja, the K3s are capable of prodigious bass and scale, so I think they need a bit of space. My room is 8.5m by 4.5m, and they are 0.8m from the rear wall (measured to the back of the K3), and 0.6m from the sidewalls. Not sure what the lower limit of room size is, but at a guess I would say 6m by 4m, and say 0.5m from the walls.
I have experimented a lot with speaker positions, and this was made much easier by placing the K3s on carpet tiles, with the plastic side facing down, so that I can just slide them a few inches in any direction., see photo. They sit Gaia isolation feet which have suction cups on them, so without the tiles, minor adjustments to speaker position would mean lifting and moving the speaker, they are a back-breaking 43Kg each.
Good luck ! Paul
Thank you, Paul!
