The black looks extremely good, I much prefer it to the rather dated silver.
On a more serious note I would agree with you Rack. ATB Peter
@anon4489532 this is clearly a matter of some import to the forum. I propose a poll, with these options:
- black legs
- silver legs
- zebra legs (1/2 black, 1/2 silver)
- āfraimlessā just stack em high, baby
Black looks good to me. They have a sort of a minimalist Mondrian composition about them.
Hmmā¦ A can of black paint spray is much cheaper

Isoblue is what I would put there. Beautiful racks.
Trouble with that is, youāll always look at them and know that the legs were sprayed with a cheap can of paintā¦*
Better to get the proper legs, I feel.
- you can tell Iāve been thinking about this.
As I tried to explain to my HiFi dealer , there are other factors besides sound alone , and a sideways move has sensible domestic reasons
Indeed far more elegant than these metal monsters. I donāt have the level of gear to use one and Iām afraid I wouldnāt want one. Sorry if thatās heresy. Isoblu are far more subtle and less dominatingā¦
I agree, Fraim just wouldnāt blend into any domestic environment that Iād want to live in. Isoblue is probably the closest Iāve seen to a rack that looks like a piece of furniture. Besides, glass is so uncomfortable to sit on.
not sure about what @Turbo thinksā¦ but as an SCM 11 owner Iād agree they are a bit on the ugly side but are so good when broken in and set up right.
Letās see a picture of your elegant arrangements.
Itās true. Like Barefoot is cheaper than Burgundy. Itās not all about doing everything as cheaply as possible.
You have exactly the same chimney. I compared both pics.
No its the isolblu I think are more elegant and its not a personal insult to those that like fraim. My arrangement is entirely irrelevant!
Isoblue really looks the part IMO. If i wasnāt in the position to have had Fraim, Isoblue would definitely be the next choice for me.
I always use expensive paint, it sounds sooo much better than the cheap rubbish.
Much Isoblue love here too.
Iāve owned the Fraim when I had a high end system previously and it is an excellent upgrade , but the thought of all that stripping down, cleaning your balls and then having to faff around with cable dressing obsessive behaviour yet again , a few times a year, fills me with dread.
No pain no gain sure, but Im happy with my lesser performing cute Isoblue for the foreseeable future. May consider adding Fraim glass/balls under the source as an experiment.
Ultimately though, Iso not blue, Iso happy !
