That kind of post doesn’t enable enjoyable pandemic, for sure.
It’s a VHS, well spotted!
Very rarely used but I still keep it for the odd VHS tape that I didn’t manage to get transferred over.
Oh I don’t know, a pair of socks like mine does ensure social distancing and keeps me safe, very enjoyable but I have no idea why my missus seems to agree with you
A few changes, that have made a very big difference
First off, added an extra fraim shelf, so that the dCS bits are not stacked on top of each other, like they were. Even with isoacoustics orea feet between them, they prefer to be like this.
Other big change, the podiums under the speakers, had to play around with positions over the Gaia’s
Not sure we are talking about the same. I like, sometimes, some socks, pets, little cars, …in the thread. I was commenting the comment, not very kind.
Is there some acoustic problem with the big furniture on the right corner, just so close from one speaker?
Your system looks impressive. Not a little game
Same line of thought matey
What a beautiful looking system that is.
Probably but can’t do much about it, plus the cabinet is in an alcove, so even if it wasn’t there, I couldn’t really move the speaker much more over.
The main problem is it can rattle once the bass gets going, but it’s well made and it’s got to be getting loud for it to start to get in the way.
It all sounds lovely, but as with most things, I am sure it could be better, if I had the perfect room for it all, but then we could all just about say the same
Nice looking kit Dunc, especially the dCS Any reason why you chose the dCS in silver? I did think about getting my Bartók in silver, but in the end chose black.
Didn’t get much choice as i didn’t have it from new, but i much prefer the silver on the rossini and vivaldi, as it shows off the fancy face plate better, especially the rossini with the ridges in silver.
Also if i ever move the naim kit on, my next amps will be silver
Gone.
Gone.
Not all that bad, there’s a Logic DM101 on there!
Lovely - is that a 72/HiCap/250 in there?

I did the same, it was clearly better than the Linn at the time despite what the press said. I must have got lucky with the springs, mine stayed good for quite a time, I suppose I must have had to change them every 5-6 years at a guess but tweaking was quite rare unless it got moved. I only got rid of mine about 10 years ago and I wish I hadn’t in hindsight, it was such a good deck
Edit, do you have the Keel on your Linn?
Absolutely holds its own against much new equipment to many times the value
Gone.
