Mine isn’t possessed!
Ha ha… thanks. We found it years ago in some vintage furniture shop. From a distance it looked Disney-esque fake, as if taken from Cruella de Vil’s house. But it’s quite old, silk lampshade’n all so we had to have it.
Looks great - as you said, a perfect fit!
Ignore - posted in wrong place😂
I am generally not a Fraim fan, but one would be hard-pressed to find a support that would better fit your alcove.
Curious how you find/compare the Accuphase house sound to Naim?
A few pictures of my holiday system consisting of Planar 1 purchased brand new and delivered for 245 Euros which is about £210 an unbelievable bargain, a UQ2 as source, a Linx Nebula amp, Naca5 cables and Dynaudio Audience 52 speakers.
Lovely! I’m with you - my second system has a pair of 25’s, nicely refinished and recapped. Nothing like a modern high performance speaker such as my Paradigm Founder 100’s, but SO listenable - especially if you like things a little warm.
My 33’s sound great with any amp or source I throw at them - very forgiving. I think they look great too. Best £100 I’ve ever spent……
I think, there is with Naim amplification (Supernait) a very solid foundation. And that you can hear with Accuphase a more precise and spacious presentation. But it makes perhaps also less fun. As always it depends on room reaction and Speakers.
I had an Accuphase 270 for a couple years and really liked it. I find the SN3 better in every way to my ear…but it is a matter of taste. The Accuphase has a mellower sound. I found it flatter and less spacious with less drive. I’d love to hear the 380 and see if the extra power helps. The SN3 with 80 watts feels beefier and more powerful than the 90 watts of the Accuphase 270. Loved the aesthetics and VU meters. Great build quality.
Super little system, do you still have the NHS trolley ?
Thanks @Ian2001 the nhs trolley is still doing a fine job back home in England with my Rega P8/ Supernait 2
