System Pics 2022

Black boxes covered by dust?
Dust, indeed, doesn’t do justice to them.
Just kidding.

No, the 300 DR is a few years old. Was initially planning to partner with Titan 808s but things went in a different direction after a good bottle of red and a few Elliott Smith albums.

Happens to us all  :wine_glass: Need to take a listen to the Devore someday. They seem to like red wine just as I do.

This is my B&W speakers system. Thanks for your interesting.

Indeed, very exciting to see some Devore‘s on a Naim set. I heard both the 093 and 096 on some Nagras and got excited to partner it with my 500, but unfortunatelly they need a bit of space around them as I was told by John.

Tell us a bit more of the listening experience between the 808 and the Devore‘s

No no !! This is unfortunately not my new system, but the one exhibited at the Paris Audiovideo Show where I went this morning.

Listening and demonstration of 30 minutes… breathtaking!! Billie Eilish, Charles Aznavour… Congratulations to Naim and Focal for achieving this level of quality.

I go back to my SN3… :slightly_smiling_face:

So It’s a Saturday afternoon and I thought I should remove the slate bases from the 606 speakers and spike them through the carpet to the wooden floor. I had no idea it would make such a difference. Speakers now sound tighter and clearer, with more PRaT.

They have lost a bit of midrange “sparkle”, that could be something to do with the change in bass though? Almost a colouration I was getting used too and liked? Also, interesting I now need to turn up the volume just a little more, to find that optimum listening level?

Try some Philips screws in the floor to sit the spikes in. Stops them working loose over time.

Thanks. I’m still getting used to the sound, and may need to play with location again. It’s amazing how much a difference there is when you actually couple to the floor. Once I’m happy, out comes the 1’5” inch 6’s!

Here’s my system in its new location (following a move from NYC to Rhode Island). Room is around 19’x13’, so I was a little concerned about the Neats working in the space, but thankfully they’re singing their hearts out.

I like this room; a pleasant space, a killer system, a guitar, and no damn TV (that I can see, anyway.)

And nice to see no system between the speakers where the turntable is 3mm from a woofer!

It’s definitely worth it to audition and in my opinion -yes!

Thank you! The TV is in another room where it lives with my Atom, NAP 100 and Kudos Super 20As
