Thanks rsch.
Funny thing is here in Hamburg I saw the Ovators only in white, no other colour. So I was not aware these are rare.
My apologies for assuming, I havenât lived in Denmark since 1993 and could of course have missed an original design in a spruced up colour scheme. Louis Poulsen for sure make wonderful lamps, and as we know they donât come cheap. Enjoy your lovely ceiling light, best Peter

Thanks, no offense taken. I think they got more colorful over the years and now even offer versions with glossy copper details, which I think look quite nice.
Kind regards
Didnât Mick comment that the problem was that it is hard to hear lyrics live, and thus easy to mistake it for them supporting misogyny, assault and slavery, and that once that was pointed out they saw the point and opted to drop it?
Of course, some may classify the Glimmer Twins as âwokeâ.
I know that you have had the 701s a while now. How do you find them compared with your previous TS5s? Was the main improvement in the treble with the LDR tweeter or is the bass stronger with the larger woofers and cabinet?
Temporary solution only!
When I sent all of mine back by dealer kindly lent me a superuniti to keep things going. Did you ask if they had something you could borrow?
I have before Matthew but not this time. Hoping that absence will make the heart grow fonder lol.
These, like Arne Jacbosen can be assumed to Bauhaus movement as well and often combined with the latter
Dan, I first heard Kudos 505 at a hi fi show and liked the sound. I then heard the 606, 707 and 808.
I think there is a big leap between the 606and 707. My room is 5m x 7m and the 707 provide the big sound I was after.
To me Kudos speakers are neutral sounding.
Iâve heard the 808 and would buy them in a flash but you have to draw the line at some point.
Iâm now waiting for WH Spectre to arrive to replace the Phantom cables.
Come on youâre letting the side down go and purchase something new.
We all know that already
New record cleaning brush perhaps? Some nice stylus scales, go on spoil yourself, itâs January after all
Or maybe a modest Nd555 second hand when the times will be better, specially for the banks.
I was never aware of harshness with the TS5 dome tweeterâs but the ribbon tweeter in the 701 is really sweet. It was the wonderfully detailed bass that first drew me to the Piegas some 15 years ago. The 701s bass is superbly detailed with added weight and presence but never shouty or boomy. The 701s are very efficient and will play very loud. At 9 oclock I can feel the bass and I really never exceed this level. The dB meter on my phone reads 91 at 3 metres from the speakers - loud enough for anyone! Piega rarely gets a mention on this forum but they are well worth a good long listen.
I used to have a pair of Piega TP5 speakers and thought they were a really great speaker. When we moved house I needed a speaker that worked flush against the wall (bought another pair of SBLâs) but will always have fond memories for the Piega brand and may return to it again at some point.
