My main system had a big unexpected change just before Christmas. Out with the 252/SC/250 (all DR) and in with a pre-loved 300 DR/552 DR, speakers the same (Totem Forest Signatures). The sub has moved to the lounge and a full Fraim base is in-coming for the 552 (staying on the crescenda).
The lounge system is unchanged (Nova and Totem Hawks), though the Totem Storm Sub has been moved in (speakers will move further apart after the Christmas tree comes down).
The games room has been simplified. I sold off all my spare gear and grabbed a pre-loved Star to replace the Uniti2 and the little Totem Rainmakers (on a discounted clearance price).
2023 will be about sitting back and enjoying it all. Just awaiting a cable replacement from Witchat, and will look at the NAP 300 4-PIN to XLR mono cable.
Re-posting last years pic as this is another unchanged system. I might do a couple of tweaks to the turntable but the rest is hopefully staying as it is.
System as of this morning. It’ll be fun to look back at this at the end of the year to see what has changed. Given the excitement over the upcoming “announcements”, the likely effect on the used market and my already scheduled appointment at my dealers in January, I suspect we’ll see changes sooner rather than later.
I like to move them a round a bit (there’s a couple more not in shot) every so often. It’s the Roger Waters signature edition, it’s been in the box seat since his Lockdown Sessions album was released earlier in the month (which I am still really enjoying).
