Yes with Naim 252 scdr 300 Dr
Hi, I tried many things on Canterbury accupahse, MCintosh, cello encore, and last Jeff rowland model 8 tihc and pre the choerence and Spectral dmc30sl and power ampli dma 250. All valid but when I put full Naim the Canterbury thanked me for their musicality, correct and soft sound like a valve, power, prat, and current
I am very happy I leave nothing to chance being very demanding
but have you tried the 300dr with a Naim preamp or even with a tube preamp?
Really enjoying how the Concorde Music Black is bedding in, was going to swap with the 2m Black headshell in the cabin as it looks more “hifi” than the Concorde but this is staying put.
Sounds so cohesive top to bottom, with lovely separation on the instruments, loving it.
Thanks for the feedback - very close to purchasing, although I’m in two minds whether to put the money towards a better phono stage first.
Mine goes into a Rega Aria but the 2m black in cabin is straight into the Gu700m2 amp and sounds gorgeous too
I used to have a stageline before the Aria as I needed MC for the Ania, so I’ll probably give it a try at some point direct into SN3 but it’s sounding so fine right now tempted to leave alone.
The Concorde Black is keeping the Ania on the sidelines now.
Looks great ![]()
Have ordered a custom shelf that should be here in a couple of weeks and can swap out the chopping board.
Mind you, chopping board is sounding very good supporting the TT, sometimes necessity can lead to unexpected results.
Nice lamp .
. And central in the system ! Some will be pleased, other will complain still ![]()

Fantastic lamp Italian design👍
I decided to pull my TD160 out of its box and set it up for intermittent use when friends are over.
The shelf is preliminary. I’ll have brackets made if I can’t find what I’m looking for. The shelf, likely a 3cm min. slab of hardwood I’ll finish in black. Maybe router out a grove on the underside to accommodate more HUE smart lighting.
As for the TT. I may modern it up with a new black ash plinth, tonearm & cartridge over time. I’m in no rush.
At first, the distribution of the white, red, green and blue colours was messing with my ocd head but the beauty of the sounds they collectively produce soon mollified the discomfort ![]()
Something different!! How did you end up
pairing an Aura with an LP12?
Because when I auditioned a new phono stage a few years back it was better than all the others I tried. I took a few months to make the decision as I knew it would be my final phono stage. Its predecessor was a Cyrus Phono Signature with PSXR2 power supply. That was no slouch but the Aura was another level altogether.
The others on my audition programme were Urika 1, Roksan RPP, Stageline, Superline and a Whest Audio model. The Aura smoked ‘em all. It was an easy decision.
Cart is an Ekstatik.
So IMHO it looks fantastic.
The other option is 332, 333 and 300 power supply to get it all matching. At cost.
The 333 will sound better than NDX. Maybe swap out boxes gradually if you feel the need to.
You do one thing and then it neverends!
It might be boring for you, but they play a big part in the home style and history, especially for the italian design
Isn’t that odd. When I heard the Aura on my LP12, whilst switching from a Cyrus Phono Signature, I felt that the Aura was too stark. I went for a SuperLine, as I felt it brought a more visceral feel to the music.
