My room is long and narrow, about 3 by 6 metres and the speakers fire across the room. Currently they are 1.4 metres apart, measured from inside edge to inside edge and from the rear wall they are 21.5mm and 19.5mm. I have not finalised this yet and may well move them a little further apart but the distance to the rear wall is unlikely to change.
What I am liking about them is the sound at low volumes (compared to my previous ATC SCM11) and the imaging.
Yeah they manage proportions of the sound really well, so dynamics still come over at lower volumes, sound just gets bigger as you turn it up but balance of the sound stays intact.
Done few changes on the room treatment on past month and those are turning to be working great! I’ll still do few additional changes, like replace those SuperChunks on the corner with GIK Soffit bass traps. Let’s see if those will then stay next to helmholtz resonators and Soffit’s.
Really pleased with the sound. Audio Note OTO was right choice for the Living Voice speakers.
Well, money is the obvious first answer. Second one is that I bought these Living Voice speakers last Autumn for then my Naim Olive setup (NAC82, NAP135, Supercap). Third, I really like these.
But never say never. Maybe one day I’ll find a good pair for a decent price.
After a brief interlude with some alternative brand mono blocks using the chord dac as a preamp, and feeling it wasn’t quite as good, the little Nait has made a welcome return, and pretty good it sounds too…
