As the first response said, a lot will point towards a 555 psu. And I’m sure they are nice and maybe better than a xpsdr. I tried one, but could not really hear a difference.
And like most, I’ll suggest what I have.
So, second hand of course, a second hicapdr over a super cap. And an xpsdr.

I didn’t get to hear a 300dr as I thought the progressive upgrade path called for a 250dr instead. I am delighted at what difference the 250 has made over the 200 especially as the cost to swap was not too great. Obviously the 300dr is in another league.
I did fancy swapping my PMC’s next but the majority of opinion on here is that the NDX2 needs a power supply first.
