The first track becomes the last

Your screenshot with filenames on it worries me, are you accessing the music by Folder rather than by Album? I’ve never seen a filename on the Naim App before?

My music is arranged in folders. I’m so used to it for a long time. Everything used to work flawlessly.
Artist / Albums / tracks + photo
I can access music through albums, but mistakes also occur.

Well that’s why it’s not working! You are not using a media server just file access from the NAS. This also explains why none of the other media servers made any difference.

Please explain how to fix the situation?
Thank!

Assuming you have a running media server then you just access it via Album or Artist.

Like this.

I have been using Minimserver for a long timeI select the folder view section.
What’s my mistake?

Still wrongly though it seems. Hopefully this should now be cleared up.

I checked Naim Uniti Core with my NDX2 everything works flawlessly.
And with other servers, NDX 2 still crashes and freezes! To restore working capacity after a hangup, the NDX 2 has to be rebooted.
The test was performed on all compatible types of audio files, on three different servers. Software servers tested by MinimServer, JRiver. TvonkyServer.
It would be interesting to know the opinion of the representative Naim.

Hi @Rosty222

Do you have an open support ticket for this issue? If so could you let me know what it is.

If you don’t could you open one with our support team, referencing this thread and we’ll priorities it up through the support channel, as this is quite a specialist and unusual issue.

I spent 30mins today trying to replicate the issue and also looking at the comms going between the app vs product to see theoretical reasons why it could happen. Currently puzzled, but I’m sure we can get to the bottom of it as there must be a subtle twist to the story.

If anyone is interested, the Android app was the culprit of the problems!
The culprit of the problem and its solution was found by my dealer from AVT Studio.
My dealer and I have tested the applications Naim on iOS and Android on NDX 2 and Nova.
The iOS application works fine, and the Android application only works well with the Unity Core server, and there are problems with other servers (the first track becomes the last for both me and the dealer). There are three ways to open an album:

  1. three dots to the right of the album and the Play button.
  2. open the album, three dots in the upper right and the “Play” button.
  3. open the album, select the first track, three dots to the right of the track and the “Play from this track” key

The first two methods have the above problems.
The third method works fine !!! It is not convenient, but I now use it, all the tracks go in order without fail.
I beg you to fix the Android application!
I have heard a lot of complaints about the Android application for a long time.

Many thanks to everyone who responded and helped solve the problem!

@Stevesky just alerting you to Rosty222’s reply as it’s quite a while after you posted.

Best

David

Hi All,

@Rosty222 and I have been working off-line on this one since the report came in to break it down.
We did some further analysis on this and can see what is going on (two inter-dependent from the Android app sent at the same time which are conflicting on the product side).

Its been raised as a high priority issue to the apps team and if all goes to plan will be in the next App release.
