Sorry guys I just wanted to get over my issues, it appears my temperature spikes have been caused by an infection due to the flu. They did worry us a little on Monday when there was a concern that it maybe my cancer bouncing back however my scan yesterday has ruled that out.

Iā€™ve had no spikes for almost 36 hours and been taken off iv/antibiotics yesterday evening and I feel much better. Think theyā€™ll keep me under observation for another 2 days so hopefully Iā€™ll be home by the weekend. As always thank you for your support.

Well thatā€™s sounding more positive.
Thatā€™s the major draw back of Chemo, your immune system checks out for a long time after.
Good to hear that youā€™re at least feeling better.
Hereā€™s hoping that your temperature stays down now and you can get home for the weekendšŸ¤žšŸ¼
Lots of positive thoughts being sent your way from us PetešŸ‘šŸ¼

Mrs Pete found this at the local museum a few weeks ago weā€™re currently living upstairs while our place is being built. Oddly enough the building is the same age as me (give or take a couple of months)

Gazza I think Iā€™m being sent home today. Just waiting on a chest specialist to confirm the flu has cleared and if heā€™s happy Iā€™m out of here. :crossed_fingers:

I am going to miss them taking blood in the morning and a jab in the stomach in the evening.

Used to love the heparin jab in the evening when I was recovering from the colostomy, funny thing when I had the colostomy reversed in a private hospital, they were quite happy to inject me in the buttocks

Apparently the nightly jab is to prevent blood clots, however taking blood every morning I think they just enjoy it. This morning effort she forgot to fill 2 vials and had to do it again

The nurse wanted more blood :flushed:

No cause the chest specialist is too busy to get in the lift and come up to the 5th floor. But youā€™re right as a result Iā€™ll get another jab in the guts tonight and they take blood in the morning as well. All of that and the pleasure of 4 hours sleep.
