Day one of chemo over, just 4 to go.
There you go, now youāve got a wedding to look forward to too.
Hang in their mate, loads of people (family, friends, forumites et al) all out here rooting for you.
Good thing Iām not superstitious
Day 2 of chemo starts today, it seems that 1/2 the drugs they give you are too stop the other half killing you.
All your friends on the forum are with you, Pete.
Keep strong.
Iām just about to hook up for day 3, half way through the chemo.
I do realise thereās a lot love going on something I never take for granted.
And there is always the result of the first T20 to cheer you up. Australiaās first few overs of batting were awesome. Thinking of you Pete.
Just found them online in Germany = ouch! But look superb
Martin
They are made from a single piece of hide, that means they adapt to your foot making them very, very comfy.
I havenāt had the opportunity to wear them yet.
Ha, you will remember the first time you put on a pair of R Ms, and not in a good way.
They take time to get used to,
Finished day 3 so far it hasnāt really hit me yet. Tomorrow I get half chemo and half a drug thatāll stop the chemo from rip my bowls, itāll run continuously for 3 days (Sunday). That was a bit of a surprise.
Youāre on hump day now Pete, thinking of you.
Yes but apparently Iāve only been through the easy bit.
Oh b*gger, now they tell you
My dark angel (head of department) told me to give her nurses as much cheek as I like cause next week Iāll be flat on my back wishing I was somewhere else.
It was in my paperwork but we thought it was a mistake, a drip for 72 hours sounded unbelievable.
A person after my own heart

And they are to give you as much cheek as possible ?
Ian
Trust me they do, theyāve been wonderfull. Funny kind understanding and professional. They make a horrible situation bearable.
Are you in Newcastle hospital Pete?
