Are things okay for you in Sydney @Bevo - more concerning news yesterday (foiled second attack at Bondi). We’ve been discussing our holiday plans for next year - we were planning the Sunshine Coast for my 60th, but we are having doubts now as to whether Australia is safe. Might do Queenstown instead, not that it’s all beer and skittles here.
Good news scans still all clear, and we don’t have to go to Newcastle tomorrow. Bad news is I’ve got to see a gastroenterologist as it appears chemo has damaged my stomach.
Resume my maintenance therapy early January.
Excellent news re the scan👍🏼, shame about the chemo side effects though🫤
Fan bloody tastic
Best wishes
Ian
Great news about the scan Pete. I hope the stomach damage isn’t too bad, you can join me in the morning Lansoprozole gang.
Well overall thats great news, the chemo side effect is a shame, but seems relatively common.
Great news Pete. Very much the lesser of two evils I suspect.
Great to get that good news before Christmas Pete. The stomach stuff can be dealt with I’m sure.
Thanks I’ll keep that in mind, won’t get answers till late January or February everything shuts down here for month.
The confusing thing is the side effects of my chemo mimic the symptoms of my cancer. It keeps you on high alert.
I’m celebrating all afternoon in the studio.
I just glad beer is a food group ![]()
Good news Pete, really good news.
Enjoy Xmas and New Year.
Cheers
Great news. Go on treat yourself. Have one on me. ![]()
That’s good to hear. Hope the stomach isn’t too bad and can be sorted; and hope that you can enjoy your Christmas and New Year.
Hope all are OK, thought i would post something before the thread gets closed.
Good idea Gazza. Like you I am hoping that it is simply the case that Pete has mislaid his phone or iPad. I am sure he will be back soon ![]()
I was intending to log back on this week however my closest friend died suddenly on Friday morning. It’s left me speechless and incredibly sad.
I’ll come back later when I’m in a better headspace. Cheers.
Really sorry to hear the news Pete and we are all thinking of you. Sincere condolences.
That is very tough and sad to read. Take your time and look after yourself and family.
Dreadful news, take care.
Very sorry to hear that Pete. Very close friends are family.
